Clean, cozy, and respectful! I loved staying here! I booked last minute in order to keep an appointment. I booked due to the insane deal they had for one night and I was impressed with everything! It was definitely clean! The showers are very clean and they are well taken care of. My room was immaculate. I could tell the linens were fresh! I booked a mixed room with 6 beds; and they have complimentary earplugs, with little curtains on each bed. They have many items that you are able to rent, like towels, wetsuits, surfboards, bikes, and much more for a small fee. I will definitely be staying here next time I am in the area.

Doing Amazing work.

The gem of this place isn’t necessarily the camp, but one of the hosts, David. A warm welcoming human being, talented musician, and chef. He cooked incredible meals for a large group even though it wasn’t his responsibility to do so. You can pay people to make food, but you can’t pay for someone’s kindness in doing it of their own volition, just to make someone else feel loved. If you happen to stay here, you’d be blessed if he’s around.

/ I would highly recommend, had a wonderful time this past weekend. Bing was such a wonderful host that provided amazing food and entertainment. The steak and fouchy potato’s were to die for and ended my stay with a relaxing massage!

If you're looking for a great neighborhood with people to party with, this is the spot! I arrived at this hostel looking for New Years Eve celebrations, and they really delivered. The beach is really close by which was very nice. Rey Ray really hooked us up with some great options for New Years and ensured we were taken care of. I was really impressed when he had a NYE club promoter show up to pick us up and even gave us a huge discount. Rey Ray really knows how to organize great things to do for travelers on a budget; give that man a raise! They are a very clean hostel which was impressive. They clean the bathrooms multiple times a day. I would not recommend working remote from here as they don't have tucked away spaces however they were able to help me swap my reservation at the The California Dreams Hostel in Ocean Beach which was a better spot to work from. After the week was done, I returned to this Hostel for the weekend after and they definitely did not disappoint and appreciated that they took us to great local spots, avoiding tourist traps. I highly recommend staying at this hostel if you're looking to meet new people, quickly get to the beach and be shown some great the night life in the area.

Great hostel for thru hikers. Close to the hardware store and many restaurants. They offer soap and laundry for a small price. Soap, shampoo and towels are free for the showers. I think I even would have preferred this hostel over a more expensive hotel room because you have the freedom to cook yourself, lounge on very comfortable furniture and take the space to figure out your resupply for the next section. The only downside is that I couldn’t call them directly. They have to call you back, hoping you have service if they do. Tip if you need to reschedule your appointment: call the office in San Diego. They can do that too.

My son excelled in Year 2. It saved his life.
