Excellent customer service and good quality products. Employees took the time to ask what I needed and had extensive knowledge on the products they were selling, and made appropriate recommendations (without trying to push or "upsell"). In a way, they knew what I needed better than I did. Their products were higher quality than some of the junk you normally find in big box hardware stores. This will be my go-to place in the future.

People are outstanding. Easy going Very helpful and informative.

This showroom is a wonderful place to visit. The showroom displays a history of fine, high-end woodworking tools. It illustrates how the fine tool expedites and refines the woodworking task. It's also a reminder of how lack of the precisely correct tool impedes the task. The showroom also reminds us of how social, personal and economic change affect the production process. Rosewood is now a protected wood so the handles are no longer made with rosewood and brass but of stainless or aluminum. The maker of the fine rope wrapping on the handles of the Japanese saws died in Japan so the handles are wrapped in rattan. Production costs are lower in China so that changes the economic model from production and inventory to jobbing and batch production. Off the shelf choices are limited. The tools remain a wonderful alternative but you might have to wait. In the meantime, this is a wonderful place to visit.

Ordered a Stickler a couple of years ago. Since we heat a large house with wood it has been a godsend. I am and have found it is the easiest way to split my wood. I can get a pile of rounds stacked next to me and sit in a folding chair to split it. Really saves my back.
