We went April 9th with our 2 boys 3 and 6. we did the am wild tour. The girl that did our drive was amazing. She knew so much info. She talks the whole drive about how it started and about all the animals. I loved her. Then we went inside and did the whole tour inside. / for sure and will go back. I recommend if you go to go early spring or late fall when it cools down so you see more animals. Its a better cost to pay the $ that gets up to 8 people in for the tour and the entire park.
Beautiful Park, Well Kept and incredibly landscaped. The price is right and the views are stunning!
We went last weekend to celebrate my mom’s birthday! It was such a fun and memorable experience! Yummy wine, beautiful lavender and fun gifts inside the little shop. The best part was talking with John and having a good laugh with him! Amazing hospitality and products! The Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite!! Highly recommend Stringtown Cellars & Lavender Farm!!
Super cool pull off area for sunset. Really enjoyed watching the view of rainier as the sky changed color
This is a great trail to go for a walk. Flat trail for the most part until you take the side trail marked "Little Mashell Falls", its a steady uphill incline but worth it to see the falls.
I called ahead and left a message about a tour. I was promptly called back and welcomed. I brought my children ages 4,6, and they all had an amazing time! What an experience it was for them and me as well! The kids got to ride a horse, grind wheat, carve wood, churn butter, find chicken eggs and so much more! Thank you for the memories Pioneer Farms!
Really cute place, nice woodland trails. Definitely kid friendly or if you aren’t looking for a big hike. Only open on the 2nd Sunday a month from 9am-3pm. Friendly volunteers, easy parking.
My wonderful wife surprised me with this place today. Such a beautiful day, beautiful place, really friendly people working there and fantastic well loved animals. Nice trout ponds, saw some beautiful fish caught for somebody's dinner tonight. Highly recommend it, you don't have to have kids to have a great time. We didn't takeours(they're both over ) and we can't wait to go back.
We had a great walk and met two very nice young men whom gave us a lot of information about the hike. They had been here before and their information helped us a lot. We entered at the bridge at ., -.. This entrance is a little steep, but there is a wire rope and hand hold points all of the way down. The views from this bridge are incredible. Melmont is about 1 mile from this bridge. If this entrance is too steep, you can enter at the next bridge on the river located at ., -.. This walk is relatively level the entire way, with just a few ups and downs. The trail is plenty muddy, but there are paths around most all of the mud. This 2nd bridge is where the murals are. I downloaded the murals. I would guess that Melmont is about 2.5 miles from this bridge.
Great trails to bring your family, dogs or take to the trails on horseback! The trails are maintained. A pass required to park your car. A clean and maintained restroom is available on site. Information post shows trail map. AllTrails website shows trail to follow.
It is a little confusing finding all of the trail heads at first. This place is absolutely wonderful to hike. I spent the day there exploring and will definitely be going back regularly. You can choose to stay on the maintained trails or go off in the pucker brush, if that is your thing. Nice quiet peaceful place.
Very historic one lane with great vistas. The bridge is over a hundred years old and the area is picturesque.
Pretty hike meandering through the woods + along the river. Not many structures to look at, but it was a fun trek. This hike IS NOT FLAT. I went under the impression it was an easy 7+ miles and that was not the case at all. Ups, downs, twists and turns. I'd rate this hike at medium difficulty. Great workout and beautiful scenery 💗
Awesome place to ho offroading. Mostly 2 track, but has some cool 1 track and 4x4 trails as well
Best view ever! No crowd!
My family👨👩👦 lives in Orting (brother, nephews, great nephews, nieces and great nieces, ect..). When I go to Washington State🌲 to visit, I go to Orting, my little picturesque 🏞🏕🗻 home town. I remember them building the skate park🛹🛼🛴🚲 and how exciting it was, I love ❤️ to stop by for a few minutes to see the future generations still enjoying the park!!!♡♡♡
Amazing park so much room to play, this place as parking area, restroom one person at a time for restroom.
