Great place, has an authentic vibe. Reminds me of a place I saw on TV about Nepal. I and my dad had went to see the flower garden nearby, and found this place on our way back. The prices are right. The owner Laxman and his employee Papaji are great. The owner is attentive to the customers needs. Papaji is jovial. We were also, offered complimentary tea by the owner. The hot tea or Chiya is very tasty. The restaurant serves alcohol. Would recommend the restaurant for good food at good prices.

I had the BEST meal of the year!!!! Staff was so nice, prices very reasonable, and food was served fast. And have I talked about the food??!!! So so good!!! Highly, highly recommend!!

I ordered Nepali chicken momo, veg momo, chilli momo (chicken), tandoori momo (chicken) and chicken Jhol momo. Now this place has a very good flavor wrt momos! I can tell it’s pretty authentic. Can’t speak much for other dishes but I know I’ll keep coming back here for their momos. Honestly the veg momo tastes super yummy too! And their best dish is Jhol momo. You can say it’s authentic since they add Sichuan pepper corn in their sauces :) one thing to note is they use msg in their filling.

Each item is expertly cooked to order! Dining at Taste of The Himalayas was a unique and tasty treat! The owner Savant and partner Melissa were stellar, working side by side to insure the best dining experience for every guest attending during my visit there. Staffing was short, however for the quality of the food it is a MUST visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Himalayan and vegan dishes. I was immersed with the scents of Himalayan/Tibetan spices and a friendly, homelike feel that set me immediately at ease. The outside of the restaurant has the appearance of an organic family based business. The personal attention given to each diner was quite impressive as the pair, along with a bevy of cooks in the kitchen , hustled to fill "to go" and "online orders" but not too busy to see to the needs of the in-house and outside guests. I will definitely make a return visit when in La Jolla!
