This is a hidden East Portland gem but seriously, go try it!!! I love Mexican food and this place did not disappoint whatsoever! They offer plenty of Vegan and healthy options which is my reason for trying it in the first place. I had the Mexican Mocha and it was delicious and beautifully crafted. I also had the shrimp and avocado love bowl and it was filled with veggies but yet gave you that comfort Mexican food feel. The service is spot on and the ladies are super friendly. They have gained a loyal customer! Don't miss out on this delicious establishment.
I had a delicious lunch here today! I ordered the beef stew with Jollof red rice, a side of mac & cheese, and the homemade ginger beverage. Everything is delicious and perfectly seasoned! I'm going back tomorrow to try the rest of the menu!
This is the second time I was blessed by Meals4Heals. I signed up for a meal train and got a vegan gluten free option for them and myself. It's super filling and nutritious and flavorful. So grateful to have a food option like that and to support amazing community work.
We had an unforgettable experience at Norr Kitchen, and I can’t wait to come back! The 6 course tasting menu was exquisite. The flavor profiles were so intentional, and the dishes were cooked to perfection. And the dessert was one of the best I’ve ever had. We also loved the atmosphere- a taste of the big city close to home.
Tried the Hawaiian fried rice and yellow curry. Both were exceptionally bland. Yellow curry is very hard to mess up but this was nearly tasteless. Fried rice tasted like steamed rice with vegetables. Maybe just an off night, or maybe they just do noodles better. Such a shame.
good place to eat
Had a Waldorf salad sandwich in a plastic triangle casing, thinking it would be mediocre but convenient—instead it was a great sandwich. The dark rye bread was fresh and tasty, the lettuce was plentiful and fresh, a healthy medium dark green, and the Waldorf salad itself was flavorful and tasted like homemade not out of a mass container. I thoroughly enjoyed it, felt like I got Real Food not agrabiz chem stuff. That place rocks!
