I am recently married, and I knew exactly who was going to be tasked with helping me create the perfet tuxedo for my wedding…..Henry A. Davidson! The vision for my tuxedo was discussed early on with Brian and Lisa and they took full charge with creating the perfect most amazing tuxedo ever! This amazing team also accommodated my entire group of groomsmen by allowing everyone to be fully fitted for their tuxedos in the shop, while we turned up with champagne and whiskey! From end to end Lisa kept me informed throughout the entire process while my tuxedo was being exclusively tailored. The customer experience exemplified by Lisa, Mike, Edgar, and Brian is like no other. I highly recommend contacting Henry A. The Tailory was recommended to me by the shop where I purchased my wedding gown and I could not be happier with my decision to take it there. My dress was a sample, so it needed a good amount of alterations. From start to finish Sara was fantastic to work with. She was very knowledgeable and it was evident the second we started speaking about my dress. Unfortunately, my husband and I were planning our wedding as Covid hit, so our day was postponed several times. Sara kept my dress safe and in perfect condition as we waited out the storm. Finally, we were able to do the final fitting and perfect the ( point!) bustle. From start to finish I knew my dress and I were in the best hands. Sara is a delight to work with, a kind soul, and an expert in her field. Her works speaks for itself!

I’ve known Marcos for a number of years and have many shirts and suits made by him. The service and expertise is unparalleled. Marcos and Monica are an incredible team, they have an incredible eye for detail, and best of all they listen to what you’re looking for and consult - NOT sell. If you know anything about custom/bespoke clothing the devil is in the details and your measurements, and Marcos is a master at measuring and understanding your style.

Marina is an excellent tailor / seamstress. It is evident in the quality of her work. Out of minimal leftover scraps from the heam of my girlfriend's gown, she made a fabulous matching bowtie & pocket kerchief for my tux. Go see her first for your alteration and/or design needs.

This was my first experience with a proper tailor and truly custom suit, and I must say I was amazed by the final product. I had the pleasure of meeting Christian during my initial assessment and then James for the final try-on. Both were very accommodating, patient and easy to converse with. Christian explained all of my options to me, provided me with his opinion and input so I'd have a reference point, and took all my measurements. When I came back in 3 weeks later, the suit fit perfectly! I could feel the quality as I was taking the suit off the hanger. You get what you pay for, and I definitely felt that way with my new suit and then some!

He was fun to chat with and made me very confident in his ability to create the suit I wanted. He crushed it! Everyone at our wedding commented on its style and wanted to know where I got it. I’m so happy I found Malgo to alter my dress after I bought it at a boutique in NYC. I needed my dress taken in at the bust, straps shortened, hemmed, and bustled. She does amazing work and I trusted her completely with my dress. I was so thrilled with how my bustle turned out and I was easily able to dance the night away!! Her prices are also reasonable for the scale of work. Malgo also hemmed my mother’s dress for our wedding! I highly recommend Malgo for any of your alteration needs!!

By the time I came to see Courtney I had already seen another seamstress in Philadelphia and I was extremely unhappy and anxiety ridden about the state of my dress and whether or not alterations were even going to be possible to get my dress where it needed to be. Courtney immediately eased my concerns and made me feel heard and comfortable. She understood exactly what needed to be done to my dress and assured me they would be able to do the alterations. When I brought her my dress it was at least sizes too big and the entire neckline needed to be redone. Every fitting my dress got closer and closer to how I dreamed it would be and I could not have been happier with the final product. I'm so happy I decided to use Prim and Perverse for my alterations! My go to place for the last few years for dry cleaning and alterations. Affordable, quick, and great service. So sad that they’re closed now. Alterations moved to a new location mins away though at S th street. Stopped by yesterday to drop off my pants and was able to pick up today. /.

Wayne and his wife helped turn a Christmas present into a grand experience for my father and I. Wayne spent time explaining everything to us, between fabrics, showing us styles and reassuring us through the whole process that we would end up with something fantastic. Needless to say there wasn't a worry there, as my father and I both ended up with products that we wear every chance we get, and have turned heads both out in public, with family and at the office. Our shirts are cut perfectly and fit like a dream and I've never owned a pair of jeans that fit me quite like these. In addition to the great work and expertise displayed, what was truly special was the way they kept things personal. Between our conversations and care provided, as well as helping us along the process with good advice, I definitely see myself coming back for more and you should expect the same when you come to the Wayne Edwards Workshop.
