Sushi Restaurants near me in Chicago, Illinois, US.

"This place is amazing! I very rarely post reviews but my experience at Kim’s tonight was far beyond my expectations. We ordered the chicken potstickers, beef bulgogi and spicy chicken and ate every last bite. Every dish was authentic and delicious - one of the best Korean spots I’ve been to in Chicago. If the food wasn’t enough, Ms Kim’s impeccable service made the experience. She was extremely friendly, brought out extra sides that she noticed we liked and surprised us with some treats at the end of our meal. Overall a 10/10 experience. We will definitely be back!"

"Walked in a little after 9pm on Friday night and the atmosphere was wonderful. Peaceful and relaxing. It's BYOB. The waiter was attractive, welcoming, and provided great service. The food was delicious. Got four rolls to share between three people. Less than $66. All the fish was clean and fresh. Cannot wait to go back as it's only a 4 minute walk from my apartment."

"Hellooo!!! Visiting from miami beach for a short trip... We went to the french market to enjoy one of the best sushis in town if not THE BEST!!! Well you have to give it a try... It is simple, go to the french market and look for the freshest, tastier, and most elegant sushi in chicago area, blue spot sushi by Mr Agi, master chef. Professionalism, dedication, and passion are the main ingredients in his recipes. Thanks Agi for a great experience twice!!! Hope see ya soon!!!"

"An incredible demonstration of sushi mastery by Chef Kaze and his team at Omakase Room. Fish, mollusks, crustaceans, beef and more in bite sized perfection. It is a very inviting and intimate experience on the second floor of Sushi San; deft and expert service paired with outstandingly fresh and well executed dishes. I have had the great fortune to experience Chef Kaze’s Omakase previously at the counter below but this is a notable evolution and I highly recommend it as a special evening."

"We absolutely loved this new sushi place! Greak maki! We recommend futo, rainbow, and spicy tako blue fin, the kakan roll and the hamachi roll! Will come back ❤️🙋🏻‍♀️"

"Convenient and fresh sushi spot for lunch if you work in the loop. Love the spicy shrimp and spicy tuna rolls. The sides (e.g., tofu, seaweed salad, etc.) are also very on point in terms of flavor. They also serve nigiri, but I haven’t had it. I usually just go in and grab items from their little fridge area (line is pretty short), but you can order ahead as well and just go to pick up."

"If you're looking for a slightly upscale sushi bar in Edgewater, you can officially stop looking. Indie is a great restaurant with excellent food, and plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. I would highly recommend people to visit Indie. And it's important to note that even if you don't like sushi, they have a ton of great noodle dishes!"

"Amazing sushi!! Everything had excellent flavor and fresh. They had a special going on where you can get 2 classic rolls and 2 sashimi for 15-20 I believe which was great. Their signature/specialty rolls were awesome. I only wish I was able to eat more cause there were so many rolls that sounded delicious. The space itself is small, but it was clean and decorated nicely. Server we had was so nice too and patient as it was my first time and I was being indecisive. I will definitely be back"

"Amazing evening with the best sushi we have ever had! Chef Otto was engaging and personable. Very intimate dining experience with the highest quality ingredients. Would very highly recommend and would go back without a doubt!"

"This place is amazing!! The sushi is super fresh, their homemade sauces are delicious! I do not like crab Rangoon and theirs is lite and full of crab and cream cheese not just doughy and all cream cheese. The owner Guam is engaging and charismatic and cares about his customers’ experience. We are so happy to have an amazing new sushi restaurant nearby and would highly recommend this place for dine in, takeout and delivery."

"This is my favorite sushi spot!! The ingredients are always so fresh and delicious and at a decent price. My boyfriend and I always get the dinner for 2 which is a perfect mix of apps and rolls, the tuna crunch is theee best. They’ve also added some great lunch specials and the owners are super sweet and helpful to top it off! Highly recommend!!"

"I've been to Shinobi 6 times during my short stay in Chicago. It is hands-down the best sushi place I've ever been to, and I've traveled a lot. The fish is the freshest, their rolls are so creative, and the cooks are always kind and helpful. When you eat in, the presentation is on par with the best sushi places in London or NYC, for 5 times less $. (the photo attached is take-away). Keep up the great work!"

"Really Nice and polite staff. The whole place looks super cool and the food is amazing! I've gone to the one in Boystown but I like this one better. The customer service is always top notch! One of my favorite sushi places of all time. The only thing that you have to keep in mind is that the sushi rolls are really small here. But otherwise, it is good."

"I was feeling done so I decided to order out for dinner and they gave me some biscuits on top of my order! It was a very pleasant surprise and made my day. The food was so so good, probably my favorite sushi place in Chicago! The food came very clean and well-packaged. When I crave sushi, I will definitely order out form here next time."

"Got the 9pm Omakase for 5 on a Saturday night. Well worth it. Good sake pairings with a decent selection. The $125 price point is worth it, and to be frank, relatively inexpensive. Sake pairings were good. Staff is amazing. Be sure to check it out!"

"Small place with an amazing menu! Delivery is quick and the food always arrives hot and fresh. Some favorites are the BBQ noodles, BBQ fried rice, panang curry, dragon maki, and the lime chicken (this one is delicious not great for delivery since the sauce can make the fried batter soggy). The Thai iced tea is solid, too. Honestly can't go wrong!"

"Fantastic place for dinner! Menu was simple and basic for sushi, yet was made very well with high quality fresh fish and fresh flavorful ingredients. Amazing hospitality with lightning fast service. Service was so quick that my food was waiting for me on a 10 minute walk to and from my apartment to grab a bottle for BYOB. Beautiful backstory including the owner/chef and his daughter as well, highly recommend reading into that as well. Easily my new go to spot for sushi!"

"I'm glad I was willing to give this place a try. I went and ended up having an amazing night. The food was delicious (I didn't get any pics😑), the service was great, and the karaoke was a blast. I was overly impressed with how clean this place was, and absolutely love clean restrooms. The dinning area was also very clean and each table had its own bottle of hand sanitizer. I will definitely be going back. Definitely worth checking it out."
