FAQ:

Here is a review from an user.

I have been dining here occasionally for the past 3 years and I love it! Once you get the hang of using the sauces and how to use the ingredients to season your broth it is an amazing experience! I always feel like I get my money’s work when I go!

This was my first experience at an AYCE shabu shabu that was buffet style for the non meats and a sauce bar. I REALLY enjoyed it. The broth was lacking flavor but with each addition it because fuller and was quite tasty. The servers were quick and attentive and I will definitely stop again if I drive through the area again some day

This was our first Shabu experience and we loved it! Our server Mi Ra went above an beyond with her service. We had no idea of how this worked and she patiently explained the process to our party of eight. They have a great variety of ingredients and meats to choose from. I personally enjoyed the seafood selection the most (octopus, squid, large shrimp, clams, etc). Our children enjoyed cooking their own food at our table. We will definitely be back and we hope to see Mi Ra again!

Came in about 4: on a Saturday. Got seated relatively quick and our experience when south from there. Our waitress was short with us ordering our food (decided to try the KBBQ), and left before we could place our drink order. Received our sides quickly, and that was the only quick thing of the evening. From there it took about minutes to get our first set of meats (can only get three at a time), and enjoyed all of the food we received. From there our waitress disappeared completely and we were taken care of by a different waitress, who was kind and personable — unlike the other. We received our second set of meats very quickly and then did not see anyone come to our table for about minutes. We would have ordered more food, but due to the amount of time it was taking, it was unforeseeable how long ordering anything else would take. At about the hour mark, our original waitress finally came back and I had a chance to ask whether we pay at the front or if we would ever receive a check, “Already done?” She asks. Well yes. We honestly had been done minutes ago but no one bothered to check in with us. The cherry on top of our whole experience was getting our check back only without the card that we paid with. It was still in the card reader. Unable to flag anyone down to get it, I retrieved it myself. If the service had been as good as the food, I think I would enjoy coming back. But for $, I don’t plan on seeing Lee DaeGam KBBQ & Shabu anywhere near my future.

First time experience. With a vegetarian member of the family, this probably wasn't the best choice. The service was fantastic. They really tried their best to add little extra vegetables and tofu. I was very thankful for them trying. It was interesting and different. The food was good. Since I'm not the greatest cook and you have to cook the food yourself, I probably didn't do the best on the udon. Vegetables were good and fresh-ish. They do put them in the fridge ahead of time, so I can see some people complain about that. Got some cooked tofu thing(?) and it was really good. I recommend everyone giving this experience and place a try. With non-meat eaters, it may not be the best choice. Cool place with great service and we'll probably be back again. Thanks.

Super clean and friendly service. AYCE Korean style hot pot with unlimited beef, pork, chicken, seafood and vegetables. The quality of the food is good. However I couldn’t get the right dipping sauce. All the sauces were either too sweet or too salty. I needed something more acidic and spicy. Lunch price is $.. Not cheap.

yaayce kbbq :-) so many options for ayce kbbq and shabu2 in the dallas area. However Gogiya has the other places beat with its price. granted the hotpot bar did not have as many options as some of the other places with shabu2. banchan selection was very limited but the meat selection was spot-on. There was one banchan that i thought was really good, the fishcake with a spicy sauce and served warm. Its normally cold when i get in in other places. Menu says wagyu and it tasted fine, beautiful tenderness. Kimchi soup base had bunch of veges and meat already in it and after cooking all that meat, the broth was just splendid for a final ramen cook to complete the meal.

This place is awesome. Went on a Saturday night and they were very busy, but it was worth the wait! They take reservations, but only for parties of 3 or more, FYI. Otherwise, there is a waitlist you can get on. Staff were very friendly, the place was clean, and the food was delicious. Great place for a date night!

All you can eat! Great selection at the salad bar with seafood as well to put in your broth. The meat selection is always top notch and the service is excellent. My sons favorite place for a night out with dad. Highly recommended. UPDATE: They got a new chef and he sent over a new spice hot pot that hits the spot!! Check out that spice block I dropped in the soup. My throat was on fire! Three flames for sure :) 🔥🔥 🔥

Style over substance here. I have dined at a lot of nice restaurants that warrant multiple visits and high praise: Lenoir, Juniper, Uchi, Red Ash, Aba, Barley Swine. But never before have I come away feeling so disgusted in the pretentiousness of DipDipDip and so terribly disappointed in the meal itself. I found it hilarious this patrons are sat within " of each others elbows and yet people are still coming and going to the restroom with a mask. How stupid are we all? The restaurant is literally crammed with people where it's a delicate act to set food down or position the wait staff to explain each thing while not interrupting a conversation a couple of feet away. I did not know what to expect going in, and maybe it would have helped knowing that I would be facing course after course of flavorless meats and mild broths that require the subtle flare of sauces to make everything edible. Let me quickly inform everyone: this restaurant is mostly entertainment. You choose between 4 broths that all lack any real depth of flavor: be it salty, savory, sweet. The kelp broth is alike an earthy water. The spicy smoke chipotle tastes like my 2 year old dumped McCormick seasoning into plain water. Michi Ramen puts any of these broths to shame. You then proceed to cook and stew your own deli meats or vegetables in this flavorless broth. In fact, they advertise the addition of "flavor bombs" to help amp up each dish. My goodness they even failed here. You will be told that "the finest rice in all of Japan" sits before you. And then you realize it is almost indiscernible from any other quality sticky rice. You can opt to pay a little more and receive a placard to reassure you that the quality of your unseasoned beef deli meat is officially awesome. If you have to tell me I'm about to eat something amazing and to behold, then it's probably bologna. All was not lost: the raw swordfish was excellent as was a cheese filled egg/flour? dumpling of sorts. But worry not, because queso will pair nicely with everything provided that evening. I genuinely feel foolish for having been swindled by such average...below average food at a Barley Swine or Uchi price. We capped off a regrettable meal with a minute wait for pomegranate shaved ice with seeds. That part didn't suck but I was ready to get the hell out.

Staff were helpful. The food was all great quality. Right level of spice on my food. Vegetarian and vegan friendly with plenty of options. Make sure you know what sauces may contain non-vegetarian ingredients beforehand.

First time here and I'll definitely come back. Our server was very courteous and always check up on us so we never run out of anything. Fresh quality meats and vegetables, perfect with the broth. Love it.

Good selection of meats and seafood. Very busy on a Friday evening. Vegetable selection was also varied, with noodles and fish cake available too. Create your own sauces was a bonus. Not much more I can say about it other than it is slight notch above other shabu restaurants in the States.

The food is very good and the terrace is really nice and feels very safe in pandemic times. Service is not consistent, sometimes good, sometimes not.

They’re short staff. There’s only one service guy all the time. Which makes me wouldn’t even wanna complain about his attitude cuz he’s def exhausted. We ordered some dishes that were out but we’ve never been told until we asked about it. Food was so so, not that good as advertised. I could make my own broth at home better than this. Wouldn’t recommend to y’all or come back any more.

Cane here with my friends last night. The food was amazing! I had the Szechuan base soup with ramen and veggies. It was so good! Be careful though! The hotplates can make everything REALLY hot. Service was awesome!

Had the Go Shabu lunch on Friday, this was my first time trying something like this and I was very pleased I did. It kind of reminded me of Korean BBQ but with soup. I chose the lamb as my meat and loaded up with all my favorite vegetables. My husband got bacon and then loaded up on their seafood options. I probably wouldn't go in the summer but definitely any cold or overcast day.

Truly a hidden gem in the Evansville area! Never been to a place that you cooked your own meal. Great selection of seafood, meats, vegetables and of course noodles. The staff was very friendly and answered our questions along with suggestions. Don't forget to pick your sauces, they also half plated items as well!
