I was skeptical, but my son really wanted to go. I stand corrected! The detail was fantastic! My personal favorite was the optical illusions and mirror work. We had a great time doing the scavenger hunt as well. Go visit if you have time!
Robischon is by far the premier contemporary art gallery in Denver, showing superlative work by the best regional, national, and international artists working today. The huge (9, square foot) museum-quality space allows multiple, concurrent solo and group shows featuring painting, photography, sculpture, video, and installation by both established and emerging, ground-breaking figures.
Excellent museum. They will be closing permanently in August, , so make sure to check out the beautiful paintings inside and sculptures outside before they're gone. Recommended to all tourists that are already in the area for the Celestial Factory tour.
The Christmas lights show is a lot of fun. They had candy cane poles to indicate where to stand to enjoy the music and light show with a respectable distance from other groups at their candy cane poles. The paths were clear enough to follow even with the snow. My kids loved running around and seeing everything on display. We've gone several times.
Debbie Bakel has been doing patinas on my sculptures for over years now (how time flies). At first I didn’t even know how to express what I wanted in a patina but she coached me along. She has a great work ethic and produces consistent quality in her work.
Beautiful property right along the river, there is a large stone parking lot. The property is maintained very well, and there are some very beautiful sculptures. I always notice something else everytime I go. Great place for a picnic or walk if you want to get out of the house. Bring your friends, bring the family, fun for everyone
You cannot visit Taos and not visit the Charles Collins Gallery. Absolutely the most magnificent Art I have ever seen. Having been to galleries in countries I speak with experience. We visited the gallery on a Saturday afternoon. We had been at the Taos art show the night before. Of the exhibits we saw NOTHING compares to this unique gallery. We met the artist who explained the thoughts behind the Art. There really is something for everybody. Some may not be able to afford an original but there are lovely lithographs framed and unframed. We now know why Charles Collins is known as "The Taos Master" Don't miss this on your visit to Taos!
I have enjoyed the elegance, beauty, and workmanship of native American arts for many years. I have been to Windsor Betts Art Brokerage several times before moving to Albuquerque and I have also used their very friendly and informative web site to inform myself. I have really enjoyed the experience of looking and witnessing such a magnificent and beautiful collection of art works. I thank Windsoe Betts for providing me with such an opportunity to experience and explore for myself. I had the chance and great pleasure to communicate with Linda and Jonathan via email and telephone calls. Both demonstrated such high level of professionalism, wealth of knowledge, and caring with openness. They promptly responded to all my inquirers and provided follow ups. I enjoyed my interactions with both Linda and Jonathan. Thank you both for being so kind and patient with me. I have recommended Windsor Betts to my friends in California and in Nevada who enjoy and appreciate native American art works. And I will recommend everyone who have an interest in and enjoy native American arts to visit Windsor Betts. The very best to all. Said
My son and I absolutely LOVED this place. It's a little off the beaten path and didn't seem to be a tourist destination, but it should be. So many awesome sculptures! I couldn't afford to purchase anything there, but the studio owner was incredibly kind and she gave myself and my son a great tour of the place anyway. We still have one of the water bottles that she gave us as a souvenir. I can't wait to go back some day with enough money to purchase my favorite sculpture.
