Romanian Restaurants near me in Onancock, Virginia, US.

"Looks good inside, but that's about it. Fish soup was ok, but not great. Lamb shish kebab was the worst in my life. Really ! The worst possible shish kebab EVER. 10% gratuity was added to the bill, but it was included in total. So when they give you credit card slip, it looks like you did not pay any tip yet. Nice gimmick! Would not recommend this place, there are many good choices in the area."

"The Romanian food, dessert and wine were authentic, I loved them! The quality of the food was very good, the prices affordable and the stuff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again ♡"

"My first time ever tasting hungarian goulash, and wow it was delicious! And we also had the puff pastry with meat and that was delicious too! Everything tasted homemade and felt like they made the food with so much love and care. The lady who cooked the food also gave us a free dessert because she didn’t want us to leave without tasting sweets! She was super sweet to do that for us! And wow the dessert she gave us was delicious- never tasted anything like it too! I learned that it’s called cremesh and got a little lesson from her husband about how it’s a common sweet throughout many countries. 11/10 would come here again and experience new foods!"

"There's a reason Famous Sammy's is famous. It's freaking awesome! The food is incredible, and they have huge portions. The Stoli and seltzer was strong. The entertainment was hilarious, Dani Luv was great. The atmosphere was homey too. They have pictures from events throughout the years all over the walls. Drinks, dinner, and dancing. It's great!"

"This was my first time to a Romanian restaurant and was very impressed. It helped that I came with a Romanian who knew what to order. We had fried cheese, white caviar, skinless sausages, and cabbage rolls - it was all delicious and very very filling. I’ll come back!"

"Authentic Romanian restaurant. The decoration was like in Romania, the waitress spoke Romanian, the band played Romanian songs, and of course the foods and wine were like in Romania. Everything we ate was delicious, especially their flagship dish, the Romanian sausages, which is a kebab as they do in Romania. warmly recommended."

"Being half Polish and familiar with Eastern European food, I was really excited to come try Cafe Transilvania after hearing great things about it. This casual cafe is a great spot with authentic Romanian dishes and nods to Romanian culture, including an underlying vampire theme. One of my favorite things that I had was the eggplant bruschetta spread, which was so flavorful and made on fresh bread straight from New York. We loved the potato salad special and the Hungarian Paprikash. I was really curious to see how their stuffed cabbage compared to the traditional Polish golabki I’ve had, and it definitely passed my test! The bloody hot chocolate and bloody coffee with rum were both a really unique touch to the menu to fit the vampire theme. Cafe Transilvania even has snacks imported from Romania for sale, and it’s a cool spot to get immersed in the culture. They offer a great variety of American dishes and healthy options, as well as breakfast all day. I definitely see myself coming back, and I’ll be sure to get another order of Papanasi for dessert too!"

"Silvia is like family. Love her and love her food. Don't go in thinking you are going to get a fast food atmosphere. It is much more a European experience and you are not getting out quickly. The food is fresh and amazing. Pictures are from a celebration and though she didn't know that there was a birthday until we came in she presented him with a gorgeous and delicious tirimisu cake! I have also been to a wedding where Silvia catered and the wedding cake never showed up but Silvia brought out a gorgeous and yummy cake big enough for the whole crowd and saved the day. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO SILVIA!"

"Another amazing google find. We started off with dumplings (pork & potato) My main course was the Lamb kebab with delicious fried potatoes and pickles. My wife had two sides, fried potatoes and noodles with cheese. We shared the panned fried fresh apple pie. We highly recommend Moldova if you want something a little different. The servers were very friendly and professional. The atmosphere is very nice with plenty of seating."

"I came here with my daughter on her recommendation. I had the falafel Shawarma and it was outstanding. My daughter had the chicken Shawarma salad and it had a ton of perfectly cooked white meat chicken on it. We will definitely be back."

"Affordable lunch option and delicious shwarma. For less than $8.50 all-in you can have a super filling sandwich made to order. Note—if you get mapped here from the freeway service road, you will be directed to the back of the building so it can be easy to miss."
