Amazing restaurant to stop by if you’re looking for vegan & vegetarian Indian food. We ordered the paneer masala fries, veggie fun for 1 and a pink Punjabi. Fries were the best and the vegan malai kofta & chana masala were good too. We were served piping hot food. The owner was very welcoming and receptive of customer feedback.
I have worked here at Bui sushi for 5 years and Jimmy is the best technician have met. He's always making sure we have enough degreasers and whenever there's a problem with the machine he's there to fix it. He even stayed around with us during health inspection to make sure they were happy with the sanitizer level. I highly recommend Auto Chlor, and Jimmy if you are lucky enough to work with him.
My new favorite Mediterranean spot in LA! I honestly loved everything I tried here! First off, the falafel is phenomenal! Made in-house and fried fresh, these little balls of goodness are perfectly crispy on the outside. I usually don’t get falafel when I go to Mediterranean places, but Z Falafel will make anyone a falafel lover! Their chicken kabab is also delicious. The meat is tender, juicy, and so flavorful! If you like your meats with a little added crispiness, I’d go for the chicken or beef shawarma. They’re cooked on a vertical broiler and then cut straight from the broiler and on to your plate. Can’t go wrong with their tasty beef and lamb gyro as well! I highly recommend getting a combo plate so that you can try a variety of items! When you eat in, presentation of their plates is gorgeous! Their hummus is solid. I really enjoyed dipping my falafel into it! I usually don’t like grape leaves, but theirs are stuffed with rice, tomato, onions, parsley, and fresh lemon juice…so good! The best grape leaves I’ve had! All of their plates come with a salad, and while it may look ordinary, the dressing is so yummy! It really adds to the dish rather than other places, which just throw in some lettuce for filler. Aside from their plates, they also offer sandwiches, bowls, salads, and sides. They do catering as well! Z Falafel as two locations. 8th Street is their original location, and this is their second location on Hill Street. The Hill Street location does not have any indoor seating, but they have a couple tables out front and a small covered patio in the back. They have a few parking spots available for customers, so it makes coming here all the easier!
Amazing experience overall. Flavors from Afar had been on my radar for months and I decided to finally visit when my parents were in town. This month, they are featuring Indo-Fijian cuisine. This was such a special experience because this cuisine reflects my heritage. I was so grateful to share this experience with my father and eat the food that his mother would have eaten. I felt that this meal brought me closer to my heritage, so a special thank you to Lauren and Christian. Flavors from Afar also has a wide variety of other items on the menu that were delicious. This was such a powerful meal and I look forward to eating here again.
This small cafe is great. Food is delicious and fresh. Tried the bagel and croissant with egg, ham and cheese it was very tasty. The Piña colada smoothie was also very good. Plus excellent customer service. Nice to have this place in the neighborhood.
Stopped in for a ham and cheese bagel and iced coffee and everything was delicious ! Zenaida is the sweetest person ever and we had the best conversation while she prepared my order. Service was quick and friendly, I will definitely be back! The place is surrounded by plants and she has plenty of vegan, veggie, lactose intolerant friendly items. My new go to place for bagels
I ordered the vegan jalapeno Ranch Burger for pickup and this was one of the best burgers I've ever had in my life. I heard this female owned business was struggling so I decided to give it a try since they offer so many vegan options and I wanted to support that and them during this difficult time because of the pandemic. I highly recommend this place and this particular Burger since it's the only one I've tried so far.
We were looking for good food after a play downtown. This place hit the spot. The owner was very kind and brought out free samples of horchata for my family. Thank you! Best tacos in LA.
This place is amazing. Killer Menudo, Pata Quesadillas, and the best chilquilles i’ve ever had. This Place is LA Gold.
I used to photograph in the Melrose area a lot, and sometimes I would need a quick bite to make sure I had enough fuel to work for hours into the night. My go-to spot used to be Tomato Pie because it was quick, easy, inexpensive and delicious. I was bummed when they closed, but recently a new pizza spot opened up in June and that is Mona Lisa kitchen. I happened to find this new spot at the old Tomato Pie spot, serendipitously through an app. Coincidentally the owner of Mona Lisa, used to be the general manager of Tomato Pie. So it was already a given that the food would be amazing. So far we have only had pizza slices but HANDS DOWN these slices are beyond bombastic! The chicken BBQ pizza blows the crust off of any cpk/Wolfgang any day! The Buffalo chicken pizza is bursting with robust flavors! Even the basics like cheese or pepperoni are filled with distinct vibrant flavor! YOU CANNOT GO WRONG WITH ANY OF THEIR SLICES! and the owner is Hella cool... Thank you Mona Lisa Kitchen for setting up on Melrose. We will be returning again and again... (and we don't even live nearby)
The service was great! The server was attentive and the chef came out to say hello. The food was so delicious! We had the cornbread appetizer and it came with this honey butter, so good. I ordered the chicken avocado sandwich; the chicken and the fries that came came with it were seasoned and cooked perfectly. My son had the fried chicken sandwich and he said his was great too. I feel bad I didn't take pictures of everything but we'll definitely be back next time I'm visiting my kid in Los Angeles.
We ordered lunch catering for about guests, the process was really easy. Would highly recommend if you are needing catering in los angeles.
I've tried so many meal prep services and this one is in a league of its own. I gained lots of weight and needed help with my meals. I have him an idea of what I wanted my meals to look like and he was able to put together an amazing menu for me in a short period of time. The food looks amazing, and the flavors of each meal is phenomenal and have a great variety. The delivery system as well as the presentation is so professional and organized. I haven't come across a better service, variety of food, and deficits menu like this. I have already recommended him to many of my friends and family.
Very delicious spot!, driving up, it can be slightly difficult to find street parking.. very nice food truck, with outstanding customer service, service was super fast! I was honestly very surprised how fast I got my order with moderate amount of people ahead of me. I got Both the Torta and the Grilled cheese sandwich! .. let me tell you, the Grilled Cheese Sandwich with birria.. look at the cheese, they don't shy away putting cheese! It looks absolutely amazing. They do use different buns for the torta and Grilled cheese. The meat itself was very soft, very tasteful.. I was extremely satisfied! To add a little more juice to it.. get a side of "Consume" . The food doesn't have any spice to it.. I really enjoyed the green sauce, red was more spicy . I would definitely come give it a try... as of now, it's my new birria spot
Fantastic late light food. Kosher lamadrin. Filled with young workers which was very nice. Local food. Kosher authentic Jewish food.
Best Hibachi I’ve ever had. The food quality is amazing, portions are huge and service is great. My family and I drive miles and It’s definitely worth the drive. Recommendation: shrimp, scallops, with fried rice and noodles. Oh don’t forget the sauce (amazing)!
We bought the sourdough focaccia and it is truly what dreams are made of. High quality ingredients, delicious flavor and absolutely perfect. Wish they did bread flights so we could try all the breads at once ❤️
An honest gem. A genuine sample of pizza mastery in every aspect. If light, thin, soft, and crunchy is your style, come here, seriously, and that's not to mention the spectacularly unique pizzas that allow a peak into the real creativity going on behind the scenes here.
