"I'm so glad I visited Bhoomi! Having seen the raving reviews I was really excited to try it especially after having read about the owners relationship to the 'Czar of Indian Food'. Bhoomi exceeded my expectations! I loved the attention to detail and that it was supervised by the owners themselves. I started with the lamb burger which was cooked perfectly and topped with a unique combination of sauteed onions with avocados, and nigella seeds on a brioche bun. It was an amazing burger and now I'm craving another one while describing it here! After the burger, I was tempted to try a traditional Indian dish. I ordered the Phulka Roti, one with chicken and the other with paneer. The marinade was delicious! I can't handle very spicy food but this had the perfect amount of spice, very flavorful and not spicy hot. (They do have a spicy sauce if you're looking for a bit more heat) This is my go-to Indian restaurant in Chicago!"

"To make a long story short, I have to say that the customer service from Scott Lichtenstein at Richardson Seating impressed my wife and I as much as the quality of the retro dining chairs they sell. I would not, knowing what I now know, ever buy this type of furniture from anyone else! [the table shown was given to my parents by my grandparents about the time I was born; it has aged well, but the original chairs need refurbished]"

"This place is amazing! I very rarely post reviews but my experience at Kim’s tonight was far beyond my expectations. We ordered the chicken potstickers, beef bulgogi and spicy chicken and ate every last bite. Every dish was authentic and delicious - one of the best Korean spots I’ve been to in Chicago. If the food wasn’t enough, Ms Kim’s impeccable service made the experience. She was extremely friendly, brought out extra sides that she noticed we liked and surprised us with some treats at the end of our meal. Overall a 10/10 experience. We will definitely be back!"

"Everything about this spot is great! I first discovered this place earlier this year because I was at a business down the street and really wanted something more healthy to eat. It seemed like everything in the area was all fried unless I was willing to drive for a bit. I’m glad I came in because I discovered a new spot to get some work done throughout the week while eating healthy and supporting local business. The place is all about fresh ingredients and healthy dishes on the menu. The place is very clean and has great lighting. The crew seems to like their job. There’s pretty decent street parking, great seating with easy access plugs to sit and get work done. Also they serve beer! The owner really stands by his stuff. One time I ordered a dish that didn’t come out perfectly the first time so he immediately replaced it with something else. I had already forgotten about that day but next time I came in, he immediately gave me another one on the house, which was really cool. The place is owned by a family and the wife and kids come in everyday which gives it a really nice wholesome feel! They are really connecting with the locals in the neighborhood as a new regular spot, which is super cool. For sure try the soba bowl, beet salad, chia pudding, and the smoothie bowl!!"

"I love their chicken sandwich! It’s such I unique combo because the salt & pepper chicken is usually served with white rice in most Chinese restaurants. The chicken is very flavorful, tender and juicy. The batter is light enough, where it doesn’t overpower the chicken. Also, the customer service is fantastic. The owner would follow up to make sure the food was good. This is definitely the place to check out if you want some delicious spicy chicken sandwich. There’s other items on the menu that I’ve tried and I would recommend, like the char siu bbq pork."

"This was a good find. Was going to a movie, saw it was down the street and glad we stopped in. The customer service was great. Very friendly, patient, and helpful, as it was our first time. The Fat Tommy was so good. The bread they use is perfect, stuffed with some crispy chicken that holds up well next to the yummy fries. Onion rings are beer battered and cooked perfectly. It's says late night, but I could eat this sandwich all the time. I will be back, and have already recommended it to others. Can't wait to try the one with Philly steak in it. Went back today. Still amazing staff. We tried the wings today, my nephew was very happy"

"Since this location sat empty for a while, I kind of dismissed it. Well I am so glad I finally stopped by, because it is absolutely DELICIOUS! The chicken nuggets were for my kids, but I had to keep myself from eating it all. The regular fries are great, but the truffle fries are to die for. The home-made spicy sauce made my day. The owner said "see you tomorrow!" as I left and I feel like it's a definite possibility. Every bite was fantastic."

"If you want to try clean and authentic Korean food, Beyond rice is the one! Their food is absolutely delicious and I could not taste msg from the food( Most Korean restaurant in US uses big amount of msg that makes food taste better but makes my stomach feels very uncomfortable.) Beyond that, their customer service was outstanding. They even gave me an 10% discount for participating a survey! Overall, it was beyond my expectations! I would love to visit them again when I visit Chicago area."

"Chi Yatai is one of my favorite small businesses in Chicago. My takeout budget isn't large, but I order from them 2-3 times a month because it always feels good to support a family that deserves space in Chicago's food scene. Mier and her partner, John are helpful, considerate and open, and provide excellent customer service. Mier's parents help prepare their high-quality, fresh food. I'd call ahead with your order but it's worth the wait if you find yourself exploring Chinatown's Richland Center food court, which is located in the building's basement. Below are items I've tried from them: MENTAI MAYO TAKOYAKI My favorite item from Chi Yatai. I've had takoyaki in Osaka, Japan before, and this is the best I've had since. The size is generous, the outside is crispy and dressed with umami-rich toppings and the inside is soft with tender bites of octopus. Because of the made-to-order nature, keep in mind to call ahead or exercise patience for the wait. There is plenty of flavor in each piping-hot bite, and even my foodie friend who travels regularly to East and West coasts exclaimed it's the best takoyaki she's ever had! CHICKEN KATSU SANDO For the white meat lover, this massive breaded chicken sandwich comes with shredded cabbage and choice of sauce, wedged between fluffy pieces of bread. It's generously portioned and is competitively priced compared to other sandos in the city. ORIGINAL CHICKEN KAARAGE It has a light but crisp exterior with juicy chicken meat. Comes with a lemon wedge for a flavor explosion, no sauce needed! CHI YATAI KARAAGE DONBURI As a dark meat lover, this is becoming my new regularly ordered item. The tender pieces of chicken are topped with seaweed, Japanese mayo, and savory sauce, and sit atop a bed of perfectly cooked Japanese-brand Koshikari rice. The sizing is also very generous. PANDA BOBA TEA LATTE Smooth and balanced between the tea and milk, this is my go-to for jasmine milk tea. It comes with boba and clear jelly, and features qual..."

"The food at this family owned restaurant is delicious!! We had the oatmeal banana pancakes, they were moist and had a great and natural flavor. We also had the Denver omelette with wheat toast and potatoes. Food was freshly made and right size portions. We were recommended by a neighbor and plan to frequently patron this place going forth."

"Amazing little taco joint. My wife and I ordered the chips and salsa, the chicken wings, the quesabirria, and the drunken shrimp & mussels. Everything was phenomenal. From their house made sauces that came with the chips, to the shrimp and mussels doused in their delicious tequila sauce. Plus the service was absolutely phenomenal. Definitely looking forward to coming back."

"Went to Zest and had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and prepared to order. The service can be a little slow so it is better to order ahead. The chef/owner is very committed to making high quality tasty healthy vegan food. Definitely recommend and will be returning soon!"

"I was pleasantly surprised. I had steak, chicken and pastor tacos. They were all good, but the most notable thing to me was their salsas. Get whatever salsa that you want and ask for the others on the side. They didn't have salsa cups, but they'll put it on the side. The salsa was actually kinda spicy and had great flavor. Oh, and it's BYOB. The staff was very nice and let us know how ordering works here: You order from outside and then you can have a seat and they will call your number. Also, they will ask you what you want on them after they're done such as chopped tomatoes, onions etc. I'll be back for sure 👉"

"I had the chicken kebab platter there earlier tonight. The food was absolutely incredible. I was impressed by the quality, and service. Great food, great people."

"Probably the best pint of Guinness this side of the Atlantic Ocean. Cozy pub good for conversation or to catch a game. Located in a very cool diverse neighborhood. Staff are extremely friendly and superior with their service. Menu has a small variety but very delicious, I highly recommend the Irish Breakfast and the dry-rub Chicken wings but not together at the same time. Cheers, cannot wait to get back."

PANDA BOBA TEA LATTE Smooth and balanced between the tea and milk, this is my go-to for jasmine milk tea. It comes with boba and clear jelly, and features quality organic milk, which I can digest with minimal discomfort without Lactaid, despite being lactose-intolerance. You can customize the ice and sugar level, which I appreciate as someone cutting down on sugar. FRUIT SMOOTHIES Creamy, fruit flavors that can be customized to be less sweet. I've tried the mango, but they also have strawberry, peach, and passion fruit, with the option to combine two flavors. MILK CUSTARD This melt-in-your-mouth dessert is topped with two pieces of ripe strawberry and is a delightful finish to a Chi Yatai meal. There's a choice of topping (plain, cocoa powder, matcha powder, or brown sugar boba), with cocoa powder being my favorite.
