Deep dives into my favorite genres keeps me wanting more! I totally dig Pete! He is soooo calm, cool, collected and hella knowledgeable...
Wow! What a store! Huge variety of records, books, CDs and DVD. I spent my time browsing the vinyl. Everything was nice and neat, labeled, and clean. The staff that greeted me was exceptionally kind. Although certain things I was looking for were out, I still made out like a bandit securing much on my list. I would say the prices are fair but you will say some are expensive. The parking situation is horrible. Only 2 to 3 parallel spaces right in front of the store. There is a huge credit union neighboring it. But don't get tempted to park there. A lot of interesting shops surrounding the store. I will be back!
Totally awesome with a lot of hard to find records. Very true on cash only so bring your bucks. Worth the time. Need to come back and explore more.
This is a real gem! Decent indie collection of new vinyl...insane collection of used anything. The owner is always adding new fresh stuff. Building a collection of used mixed. I've bought fresh new Jamaican dub, African funk( decent new collection of reissue) . All in all a fun browse!
Has so many records, can't believe how many.
After a bad experience at a record store in Seattle (Easy Street Records), which was my first time buying vinyl in years, I visited Rainy Day records in Olympia to do price comparisons. To my surprise this little record store is awesome. I went in to browse and found exactly what I was looking for within minutes, 7 albums for under $4 each so I bought them for my aunt who recently bought a turntable. Rainy Day records has a broad selection of vinyl, cassettes, CDs and everything else you can imagine, with great prices. They have great deals on record players as well, which I almost bought today because it was such a good price (passed because we have enough music platforms already). The people who work here are way cool and the customers are friendly too. Much different than the experience I had in Seattle. Highly recommended!
I can't believe it took me this long to find this place. What an incredible shop. An absolute must for any s/s collector. An expansive collection, beautifully curated with just the right mix of visual abundance but not clutter. They've got everything from VHS to toys to records to clothes. Well worth the drive from Seattle.
A crazy, well curated inventory of vinyl and stimulating screen printed posters. I want to make a point to go here more often.
Time Tunnel Records is a small but mighty record store off Ambaum! They've got an intriguing mix of records, DVD's, CD's and tapes to peruse through, you might just find that holy grail of an album you've been looking for! The owner, Matt Alston, has owned this Burien business for almost EIGHT YEARS and plays some great tunes while you shop around. There are also posters, t-shirts, memorabilia and much more to explore. A total neighborhood gem and one of the handful of Black owned businesses to check out in sweet ole Burien:)
If you work with them they'll work with you. If you're short on funds, they'll give you a very generous trade credit for your used video games, records, comics, Pokemon cards, Pokemon dolls, pop vinyls, Legos and pretty much anything you have that's cool. They also transfer items from their Lynnwood location for no extra charge.
Bob has a fantastic array of amazing quality used and classic records, and at very reasonable prices. I love the display of different retro turntables, and all of the super cool album art hung on the walls. what is the best attribute of the store is all of the wonderful conversation and stories of music you can have with Bob. each and every visit is left with smiles and intrigue, all from chatting about our favorite things in life, music and vinyl!
One of the more difficult record stores to get to in Seattle but if you succeed in finding it then finding one of Georgetown's five available parking spots you will be rewarded. This great little shop, located in an old bank lobby, has records you won't find anywhere else in town, possibly in the entire state. A major emphasis is on Jazz, Psych and African music here. I knocked several things off my wish list and had to leave several behind, but I could have spent a ludicrous amount of money here if eating food wasn't so darn important. I didn't even realize they had a cent discount section (hard left when you enter the door) so I will definitely be back when funds allow it.
I came in a few weeks ago while my car was in the shop. It was raining all day & I had a few hours to kill - every place I walked into didn't have indoor seating open at the time due to Covid, including here. The folks working were cool & friendly right off the bat. I then asked if they knew a spot I could sit down at - they went & dried off one of their outside tables & set it up with a big umbrella. I was able to kick it there for a few hours & get some work done amidst the rain. It was bliss. From the great food/coffee, to the friendly staff, to the lava lamp in the bathroom, it was a memorable experience. A great vibe all around & I'll be back there when I'm in the area. 7/5 stars
Absolutely amazing atmosphere! So many records and so much history. Prices are fair, better than online actually, and the staff was super helpful and welcoming. They let us search for records until the last min. Can't wait to go back! Thank you!
