Here is a review from an user.
Love this library! Very friendly and helpful staff. The books to go is one of my very favorite things with picture books and early readers. The variety they give us is so much better than what I would pick out. The library itself is very clean and well stocked!
Peaceful and quiet when you need it. Good place to read and relax
Nice library with friendly librarians!
Great library to hear research done at. The are the central research library in the Wake county library system where you can go to ask for a historian to help do research for whatever reason you need. In my case, I'm co-authoring a novel. If they can only research local events, they will refer you to who can help you research your non local events!
We love our little community library! It is always quiet and peaceful when we visit, and I love to browse the collection whenever I come to pick up my holds. I like that it is small, so while it is easy to browse whole sections quickly, it is always a surprise what one will find. The staff always seems happy to see my kids, even if they (my kids) act like they were raised by wolves sometimes.
Why does it seem like the county libraries are forgotten gems? Great place to relax and study. The staff is always friendly and helpful. It’s almost always quiet. Sometimes there are kid events and they get loud and excited but that’s fun to listen to and watch. There is a “quiet” room if you need it. Lots of computers to use, free and fast WiFi. All it’s missing is a coffee bar (you’re not supposed to have drinks here, anyway).
First time visiting this library. I love it! Went on a Monday afternoon, and there was no noise. There were tons of computers and only about a third of them taken up. Still quiet! And I had trouble with the printer; the people at the reference center desk were amazingly helpful. I plan to visit again (because this library met my every need)!
Everyone was super helpful and considerate! We’re so excited this location will be our neighborhood library! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Though the library is smaller then some when I first arrived in Raleigh I need to use my computer to find work. The staff here extremely friendly and very helpful. No they may not have a large number of outlets to accommodate a whole bunch of people if they do take out with the space they have. Staff are friendly and willing to help. I’m thankful through them. They do a story time for kids and I’m thinking about taking the girls to it. While I was working on resumes and applications I listen to their story time and found that the kids really like it and they found good people to tell the stories. Thank you for trying your best with space your have available I couldn’t of done better job myself.
Good community library. Very helpful working staffs.
The library's great. The people there go out of their way to help you-research on the computer, programs, books of course, whatever you need. Thanks alot! Great to checkout if you have a little time to kill downtown. A door or two down from the courthouse. Do people read reviews of libraries?
Great 9 hole disc golf course! Very wide open shots and backs up to a ball golf course. Could easily make this an hole course. Sometimes they need to mow it more though because it can get pretty hairy.
I have gone to this library my entire life. Everyone is always so friendly and helpful. Andrea has gone above and beyond to be helpful and nice every time I have visited with my daughters. I was walking in right at closing on a Friday and I did not realize it was almost closing time. Andrea saw me walking in with my young daughter and went the extra mile to let me in to grab my book that I had on hold instead of turning me away. Thank you for being a kind human, Andrea. Keep spreading your love and joyous smile with your library visitors.
The Library in Downtown Oxford, NC rivals their relative over in Henderson, yet this athenuaeum supercedes in many ways. The North Carolina Room for one, Mr. Mark Pace for another. Mr. Pace is a fantastic man of international mystery while living-out the realities of being one of the best historians in the state of North Carolina. When PBS needs an answer or when the Department of History at UNC (Or Insert Any Accredited University or College), this Library gets called or emailed. Take your kids, take yourselves, and enjoy this magnificent place and its magnificent people.
Wow! These librarians are so willing to help! It feels like such a community when I step through these doors. The kids’ story times are filled with book reading with a monthly theme and a craft… EVERY Tuesday! It’s got such a large children’s room! If you’ve got kids near Dunn, this is the place to bring them!
