The 10 Best Primary Schools in Denver, Colorado

Primary Schools in Denver, Colorado, US.

"Great school to go to!! I love the friendly environment and the teachers are really nice. I've been there since kindergarten and I'm sad to be leaving in two years."

"I could not be happier with our choice to send Louise to MCHD. I also could not be happier that we stayed at Park Hill. I am impressed with how organized and professional all the staff are and yet also, warm and personable. Louise is thriving and loves to go to school every day. After moving several times since she was born and having been exposed to several programs across the country, this has been one of our best experiences- from enrolling with Kelsie, meeting Nikki and now getting to know her teachers Karissa, Musou, Lyndsey, Paola, Cinthya, everyone! Everyone seems to be smiling and passing along good energy. Not only do I feel the curriculum is focused on arts, global awareness but with the implementation of the Sound of the Week, I know Louise will be ready for reading when it is time. I don't have enough nice things to say.... but thank you!"

"When we moved to Denver a few years ago our younger son was going to be starting preschool. We were nervous being in a new city and getting him ready for a big transition. Luckily we found MCHD, it is charming, friendly and warm. Our son began in the toddlers classroom and is now in Primary. We have seen tremendous growth in him both socially and academically. They truly see him as the individual he is and have helped him develop at a pace that suits him best. We have had a great experience with all teachers and staff. He loves his school."

"Wouldn't recommend this school at all if you're going through any custody situations. Let them know from Day one every detail about the situation gave court papers and all, they still let unwanted people go have lunch with my kids WITHOUT any confirmation they were related to my kids (the secretary of the office had to talk them out of pulling my kids out of class for the day) •I would have showed up to pick my kids up and they would have been gone! ..they also let them put different names on pickup sheets and so on. REMIND YOU NO CONFIRMATION THESE PEOPLE WERE EVEN RELATED TO MY CHILDREN! When Denver Human Resources got involved not only then did this principal "Mr. Jason" whom I've never met let my children get pulled out of class to talk to "Authorities" without so much as a phone call to any parent guardian that my kids were being questioned until the next day but he then lied to cover his own ass when he was confronted that the Family was violent, had to be monitored since Day 1 and lied that he had overheard parents saying they didn't even "Want their kids" . When the teachers of the children Wrote letters for court and spoke to Authorities saying this wasn't true and the parent had been a very active and supportive parent, those teachers were "Let go" due to "Wanting younger teachers at Centennial" This school is a Joke as well as this Principal that handles no Situations brought to his attention. . Teachers are great! The rest of the school seemed awesome, Sad and scary they put my family through this."

"We went here 2019-2020. Ms. B was wonderful. We loved this preschool! Until CoVid hit and all of us didn’t know what to do. So sad to end the school year like that. Ugh. We missed so much. The rest of the year was wonderful and can’t say enough about Ms. B and Miss. Tabitha. My daughter loved them both so much. Wonderful teachers."

"I was a second generation at this schoold now my sons are here as a 3rd generation it has been a wonderful scool since I went there and now they continue with it! The teachers are amazing and so is the staff. They are all there looking for the best in your child and work with you to meet the goals set for your child! Definitely a great school! (Ps my sons didn't start off here they where transfered and it made them much happier)"

"The comment below explains this school. If you speak English this is not the school for you. The Principal is horrible which explains the horrible test scores. He will not hear about concerns about "His School" and isn't interested in changing anything to better the school. If you want to be cursed at in Spanish by students, by all means volunteer there. It is sad how far down this school has come as of late. Please do not send your students there."

"Uhhh overall good some teachers are mean and theres hardly any subs cause of how the children react but the rules and homework are good, I'd recommend it, just watch out teachers never see people bullying so stay away from it and stay away from the "Popular Kids" ;D"
