The 10 Best North African Restaurants near me in Blairstown, New Jersey

North African Restaurants near me in Blairstown, New Jersey, US.

"We opted for the Nigerian Suya which is vegan Chicken Skewers with a side of slaw. The food was delicious and packed with interesting flavours however it was a bit pricey for the portion size. We only tried this one option but they’re are no shortages of other vegan options. They have outdoor seating but it was closed at the time I was there (December 30 2021). I’d love to try some more menu items from here and would recommend to anyone who has an adventurous palette."

"A must try. Small, cozy and great atmosphere. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly along with the manager(I believe) food was very good and you won't be disappointed. A good selection and flavorable. I do recommend anyone to try this restaurant and I would recommend making a reservation due to the influx of customers."

"Awesome hookah (Double Apple) and food (really good fruit platter). April and all the other staff where really friendly. Great service. Enjoyed a lot. Highly recommended!"

"This place is stunning, delicious and one of a kind. I used to live in Williamsburg and fell in love with the brunch a king time ago. Every detail is prefect. We had the kale salad, quinoa, and Tchoutchouka, cookies, and a perfect mint tea. This bottle of orange wine was outstanding. The store has amazing hand made candles, beautiful Moroccan rugs, jewelry and more. I truly think after 8 years in New York it was one of the best brunches I’ve ever had ☺️😩. Thank you @simplecafe for the attention to detail and love you put in your service."

"Divine Flavored catered our wedding in July at Leonard's Palazzo in New York and they did an absolutely fantastic job! The presentation, wide array and quality of the food was impeccable. Nigerian food is unique and it's not very easy to find authentic (and flavorful) options in New York, but Divine exceeded our expectations. The food tasted great and all of our guests (both local and first-timers) enjoyed it very much. It was a key part of the success of our wedding day and we highly recommend Divine for all your catering needs!!"

"Lovely spot with delicious traditional Algerian specialties. The Merguez & fries sandwich is a must ( the fries are fresh cut & fried to perfection), the staff was very friendly & informative. The pizza would need a bit more tomato sauce as it is almost inexistant. I will definitely go back!"

"This was my first visit to this restaurant. It was a very pleasant experience. I was warmly greeted by the host and my table was ready and waiting per my appointment. The introduction to the restaurant was delightful with the waitress taking her time to go through the menu selections. For starter, I had the crab croquettes. This was a good start to the dining experience. I ended up going with the recommendation of the Fish Du Jur. This dish was an overall good recommendation. Everything on the plate complimented each other. I was particularly a fan of the crispness of the fish skin. My entree was paired with a hot citronnelle tea which was a perfect compliment. For dessert, I had the classic Souffle. It was well made, light and fluffy as a Souffle should be. Overall this was a great dining experience and I would definitely return in the future."

"The whole dining experience was fabulous! We arrived much earlier than our reservation but the chef and server were very accommodating and welcoming. The hummus, red lentil soup, and main dish were all very delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy. Highly recommend for a date night!"

"I had the best time! The food was very flavourful. You could tell the couscous was quality along with the sauce to add on top. The lamp fell off the bone and tasted amazing. The spices in everything was on point. As a starter we got the asparagus tartar with their home made bread and that was quite a crowd pleaser, again it had colourful flavours and was well made. The service was also excellent, our Waiter Sam, was attentive to our needs and we loved his sense of humour. Being Algerian Berber myself, I can say the food tasted like my grandma made and it has my stamp of approval!"

"The Couscous Royal is so good and tasty, the lamb is really tender. Desserts are really good portions so it's easy to share. I like that you can bring your own wine or beer too."

"I've had Zaaki recommended to me a handful of times and went to check it out. What Zaaki may have lacked in its presentation was more than made you for by the experience. Admittedly the menus were dirty with old, dried food on some of the pages, but I didn't let that be too much of a bother. Between the appetizers, hookah, drinks, entree, and desserts my family and I had a wonderful time. The waiter, Abdool, was very patient and friendly, willing to answer any question about menu items. The food was great, and it felt less like we were just having lunch and more like we'd taken a quick trip to the Middle East. Will be coming here again!"

"Wow, this place is incredible. The food was both delicious and hearty, and the staff is absolutely lovely. The chicken tagine was perfectly tender and rich, and the knafeh dessert was standout. The cocktails also looked fab, can’t wait to come back to try them!"

"Amazing place. Absolutely amazing. THIS is what I've been searching for ever since relocating to Raleigh from MA. I love the feel both inside and out. Wherever you are seated, it can be a romantic dinner for two tucked away in a quiet corner inside or outside on the gorgeous patio area, or it can be a big table of friends out celebrating a special occasion - the night will be a memorable one. Food is authentic and delicious. Loved, loved, loved everything we had (both times we've been) from apps to meals to desserts and drinks. Service is genuinely friendly and on point. Great suggestions and the timing of the staff was impeccable. I feel like I found my favorite "go to" place here at Babylon. When friends visit from out of state, this will for sure be high on the list of places I want to take them."

"A hidden gem just out if the touristic area. I wanted to check it out since I've heard good things about and people who told me about this place were right. Not only is it cheap but the food is awesome. BYOW place with a mini centered on middleeastern food. A definite go again place. Next on my list there is tajine."
