Our meal at Wicked Jane was excellent! The service was top notch. The setting was modern and lively but not too loud or hectic. The dishes were creative, beautifully plated, and tasted great with some really interesting uses of seafood. The somm was knowledgeable and made great recommendations even though we didn't do the full pairing. Maybe my only critique would be that the dining room was a little bare and could have more of a theme or be more eye-catching (the Michelin people seem to love stuff like that) but outside of that single element, the night was essentially flawless. Wicked Jane definitely deserves more buzz in the NYC food scene. Thanks for the great night to all involved!
Wandered in on a Wednesday night after "just going for a walk" but Paulo at the bar called us in as we peeped through the glass windows. We were greeted by friendly staff that showed us around the newly opened restaurant. The place is so beautiful. We ordered cocktails, (white negori and something trilogy) which were reasonably priced in comparison. There was a selection of local beers, we had the Zombie beer which was different and interesting enough to order a second round. Ordered the shrimp cocktail, mermaid oysters and charred octopus. Our mixologist Sofia was amazing, she's the reason why we didn't have just a night cap and ended up ordering more drinks and food. She made the whole experience so much better.
Absolutely incredible, everything was delicious and so well-balanced. The service was exceptional, the wine was amazing, the ambiance is perfect for a date night, and again - the FOOD. Best meal I've had, and that includes some really amazing spots in Paris. Not pictured, but the Baby Artichokes, Cocoa Pappardelle, Local Cheese with Walnut, Blue Cheese and Pear all incredible, you just can't go wrong. Run here, you will not be disappointed.
Great place! My wife and I used to dine at Bar Uchu before. It is great to see chef came back with his own restaurant. Foods are still great! With awesome ideas and inspiration behind every dish. Every dish is good. I loved the bread that came freshly from the oven. I will definitely recommend. The price is pretty good compared to other restaurants in the same tier. Caviar roll is a good addition if you have some extra cash to spend but it is completely optional. Bar area can be improved a bit to have more selections.
We had the 5 course seasonal tasting menu. Food was great and service was excellent. The seating by the bar area was really loud but luckily we got a table all the way in the back which was much quieter and better for conversation. Overall we had a great dinner.
Came here with a group of friends for some pre-karaoke tapas. The food and atmosphere here is great! Loved having the little mini pans to cook meat with while sharing some apps. All the food was excellent, but I really loved the tteokbokki and stew. I also really enjoyed the spicy dumplings, which were spicier than expected. The tuna was mouthwatering but it came in a hilariously small serving, which I thought was a little out of place for a non-pretentious restaurant like this. Can't complain too much as it still tasted great. Service was polite and fast, and the indoor vibes were pretty nice. They can likely do a bit better with the tables and chairs, but it is a small space overall. Minor complaints aside, I still highly recommend this place if you are in the area! You also get % off if you pay with cash so come prepared.
Came here with my partner last week… An incredible meal. The food here is so creative and delicious. There was not a single course we didn’t like. The restaurant also has great decor and creates an intimate vibe. Would love to eat here again!
UES gem. Tried the burger for my first visit and was very pleased with it. Drinks were perfect and honestly I can tell by the vinaigrette that the other dishes are going to impress me as well. I’ll definitely be back to try more things on the menu. This is going on my UES shortlist!!
A truly delicious brunch! Got the burger too which was gorgeous but did not photograph before eating… whoops. But always love their deviled eggs!!
This is a wonderful experience! Foods are amazingly good. They started with refreshing and Thai & Mexican style starters. Main course-duck breast is cooked perfectly, served with good sauce. Service is lovely. You can feel everyone is proud and enthusiastic with their job. This is truly a gem in NYC.
We are traveling for the holidays and stumbled across this hideaway restaurant. It wowed us from the stair way entry to the cuisine served. I ordered the Artic Char and it was so balanced. For dessert, we ordered the Baked Alaska and the Chocolate Mousse Espresso and, without a doubt in my mind, the chocolate mousse was off the charts. Everything was beautifully presented and wonderfully made! Thank you, Pomona!
Cute place with a warm West Village vibe. Great staff. Had the happy hour (until 6:) Smashburger, truly delicious and with wonderful french fries. Cocktails were delicious and loved the peach fritters for dessert. Left feeling full and happy.
This was my second time getting take out from Fields Good Chicken. This was some Awesome Chicken! The sides are great too! The price is more than fair. The Staff are very nice. Definitely will be enjoying this place again in the near future!
We had dinner at the bar, before they had opened up the dining room again and it was a fantastic experience. The food was very good, I think they were a little busy so the service wasn’t quite at the level you’d expect but we didn’t mind. I’d definitely come back. The dining room is a great option if you don’t want to spend a decent chunk of change on dinner but still get to experience the great food. The oysters were a highlight.
Gotham is truly a gem. I've visited three times since they reopened. They execute every aspect of the dining experience exceptionally well. The drinks, the service, attention to detail, the main course & dessert course... all top notch. My favorite highlights: the halibut, tuna tartare, sunchoke cheesecake & pear & winter citrus desserts
Came here with my sister on Friday for breakfast. We got the croque monsieur, omelette, and French toast. Everything tasted great, service was wonderful, and the space was really cute and cozy. Would def come back!
A delightful experience! Everything was superb. The service was amazing and the ambulance and decor are so beautiful. Dessert was definitely my favorite part but this just a me thing. Overall / and I plan to go back before I leave the city in a few days.
