I was wowed standing in a historical house that my 5th great grandfather stood in asking John McLoughlin for advice before he signed the treaty of . And the gift shop left me loving this pic of my 5th great grandma's brother chief Joseph. We truly need to value the history and historical places we have here. They truly are few. I left smiling and felt happy from this piece in our history here.
Great place to see cherry blossoms in the spring time and to check out interesting Japanese cultural events and programs throughout the year
They gave me half price because the roof was leaking and half the exhibit was closed off. But what I did see was beautiful. I learned about Chief Walking Buffalo and his message of peace. Very moving story.
Love this place. Thought cause it was new maybe it would be lacking in authenticity but I was wrong. The building is also very unique and inspiring. Had a great afternoon looking at all the cool instruments, playing (or trying to) a few, lots of neat Canadian music history, and a great interactive tour with Melodie! She was awesome and engaging and her kimball organ finale was top notch!
Excellent museum to learn about a part of Canadian history that you may not have known of.
Amazing collection of wildlife paintings, photographs, and sculptures in a beautiful location ten minutes from downtown Jackson Hole. On-site restaurant with amazing views overlooking the National Elk Refuge. Outdoor dining with live music. Special events through the year; we saw an interesting exhibit of Ai Weiwei and Andy Warhol. A must visit destination.
Amazing Museum! Visiting from Phonix AZ. The beginning tour is so fun, all of my kids enjoyed it and learned so much. The wagon master was awesome. The light effects, historical items and scenes were great. The gift shop had modern, stylish cute things to buy. I appreciated the lady who helped with the downstairs museum, she gave my young girls and boysitems to look for, and helped teach them how to use the old coin cashier.
This place is absolutely awesome. 4 huge galleries of every kind of car imaginable. Celeb cars, old cars, race cars, you name it! Great historical explanations too and interactive stuff for kids. They even have a curatorial theme of women in cars. If Reno's tawdry side has you down, come here. Wish all museums were this engaging. A true gem.
Super friendly staff posted at each of the houses! They explain what each of the houses were for during the fur trade era and also go into some of the history of the time. There are also some animals such as goats, chickens, and turkeys! Definitely a place to check out when visiting Fort St. James!
Definitely worth a stop if you’re in La Paz. The museum is well designed and they have volunteer tour guides who are fully fluent in English. You will learn the history of the Baja California peninsula, from the first settlers to now. It’s truly a wonderful experience.
Had a great group visit at the National Historic Trails Museum. Starts in the Native American section and leads through the Platte River crossing of the Oregon Trail and the modern rail and oil and gas. Excellent visit. Our hosts arranged some snacks in the lounge area. We spent a little time outdoors. The museum has several great interactive exhibits include a wagon crossing the Platte River, pulling a hand cart, movie, and many artifacts. A wonderful opportunity to learn more about the history of Casper.
Loved visiting here back in . The staff was so friendly and had lots of information. They enjoyed what they were doing and were happy to be at work. I came here with my husband to just walk around and do something new. We were celebrating our marriage anniversary in Santa Cruz and decided to just walk around and ended popping in here. Beautiful memories and a beautiful little sanctuary.
Really amazing park with lots of local history. A must see if you're in Spearfish and have an interest in conservation. It's also a great place to bring children, as there is a pool where they can feed and view trout.
The food is excellent
I love Groupon and I loved this museum. There was so much more than I anticipated, including pieces of the twin towers, a piece of the Berlin wall, educational info & photos of other testing sites, and even a copy of a letter that Albert Einstein wrote to President Roosevelt. This was really a great way to spend an afternoon!
