OH MY GOSH!!! This shop is amazing! I don't even have kids, and I wanted to buy stuff for every niece, nephew, neighbor, or friends' child! They had THE absolute cutest baby/children's clothing that is boutique unique without being pretentious. 🥰 The staff even help you put together super adorable outfits (with accessories if you want! Ahh, tiny sunglasses kill me with cuteness)! They also have fun games and gifts for kiddos. ANNNND they have excellent play and craft areas that can be reserved for parties and events! If you have little ones in your life, you HAVE to come visit here!
My kids loved it! Amazing scenery and the people who work here are real helpful and friendly. / no question, would recommend everybody to stop by!
Lovely stroll around the lake with a number of observation areas. The Mill in particular was incredibly charming. The lake can not be seen from the bottom of the mill, which makes it look as if there is a mini waterfall. This is in fact the lake that flows over the wall across the rocks. This was a smaller park but definitely worth the visit and is a good local getaway very close to downtown.
I'm telling you, don't sleep on her. This lady knows her stuff. I love her energy and her knowledge of makeup. I told her that I was promoting her even before I sat in her chair & she did not disappoint. I love that she listens to you and gives you exactly what you're looking for and not what she wants you to have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER. She is the truth.
SONARC Created by Brian Bush and made of hundreds of polycarbonate tubes. Sonarch creates an ethereal cloud like effect during the day and is an interactive luminescent sculpture in the evening. You can interact with Sonarc by singing into a microphone. In response to changes in pitch Sonarc will emit different patterns and colors of light. We loved experimenting with Sonarc by whistling and playing different songs. We're looking forward to going back with a more diverse song list soon!
The museum itself is a small loop on the upper floor of the store and tells you about the dragster gatherings in Raleigh. It was interesting to me to see how the gathering has changed over time and how many people come out, including some people that might be coming for tattoos and free live local music. They also have outfits and old bike pieces as well as the old dragster "funny bikes." Pretty cool!
Great park- clean trails... Saturday parking is packed to the brim.
Great place to roam & sit by the pond. Restrooms are available. Kids natural play space looks like great fun.
Great view of the history of the Raleigh Fire Department
Very interesting model train layouts and friendly members to show visitors around.
