Here is a review from an user.
If this was a few months ago, I probably would have given them 3 stars. It used to be unreliable and inconsistent with quality, but when it was there and the food was right, it would be amazing. Some times, I would go out of my way to go there and the truck would be nowhere to be found. At some point, I stopped even going. Then, one day, I saw they were back. But would it be good was the question. Since the guy, Omar, started running the truck, there's been a marked improvement. He said it would be there Tuesday to Sunday and it actually has been. And... the food's been consistently amazing. I've eaten at Goubaa Grub more times in the past month than I have since I found out about it in . Plus, the prices are more than reasonable for that quality. If you haven't been, I highly recommend you try it.
I saw them when I drove by and had to stop, glad I did. Food was very good, tried their falafel and would highly recommend. Can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes.
Great family run spot for authentic middle eastern food in Philly. We tried the kofta platter, cilantro sampler and Beef shawerma . Food was tasty and fresh and the service was attentive and friendly. The owners are very nice. I hope to come back many times.
This was our first time coming here. Upon walking in the door, we were greeted by the most delicious smells that made our stomachs grumble! This made us excited to order. I had been looking at their menu online ahead of time and was already set to get the chicken shawarma. My friend ordered the baba ganoush, zaatar, and a pita wrap. We were so intoxicated by the savory smells and tastes! So so so good! The girls taking our order made sure we had everything we needed and asked if we had questions, and a nice gentleman came out of the kitchen to ask us how we liked everything and was talking with us about some of the spices used, etc. we were even brought a complimentary dessert to try called konafe. It was amazing! This place is great, and we can’t wait to go back and try more!!!
My daughter and I were walking down the street when we noticed this place and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad we did!!! I chose the lamb Haneeth and my daughter had the lamb kebob. The lamb was so tender it fell off the bone. It’s probably some of the best tasting lamb I’ve ever had! The rice was great too! Then we decided to have the Sizzling Areka for dessert. It was exquisite. Hope to be back soon!
I found this location by seeing it across from our hotel. I am happy that I saw it because it was a new type of food that I can add to my list of trying. Upon walking in they have an electronic device that has the menu. The gentleman working was nice and accepted a request that I chose to change with no issue. I had the chicken platter I opted for fries instead of rice because i wanted to make it like a street food I’ve previously had. The food was AMAZING, flavorful and everything was equally proportioned. I love to mix my food and this was PERFECT! My daughter had the lamb and chicken combo and she really enjoyed it as well. We also tried the Potato Borani it’s was good and like nothing I’ve had before. They serve it with a sauce and that gives it a different type of twist, in a good way! I will definitely patronize this location whenever I come back into town!
Absolutely incredible. From the warm, welcoming environment and customer service to the absolutely ‘out of this world’ flavors- this is a must visit! We ordered multiple items from the menu but the “Keshet Burger” was a winner for my young man! So happy we discovered this gem! Will be back! Thank you for a delicious lunch!
Let me start off by saying Please wear your Stretchy Pants!! Cafe La Maude will have your belly filled with Joy and Happiness. First person you meet is the owner he is so friendly and the best with making sure you get a table fast and not have to wait long. Now on to the food when I tell you it’s Mouthwatering GOOD! Yes you will not be disappointed at all. Its family owned and operated with love. The presentation, the flavors and the staff all Five Stars! This place is a Must Try. 🤗
Can't say enough about this spot. Incredible food, service (thank you, Jordan!) and ambiance. First timer and already can't wait to go back. Highly suggest the dinner for 2.
Their pastries are amazing!! Came here for a falafel sandwich and got a pistachio baklava as well, very happy I did. Want to come back and try some of their other dishes, chicken was recommended and the hummus looked good.
This is my favorite breakfast and lunch place ( havent tried dinner yet ). I'll be honest for the price and quality, i cant strongly attest that no other place can offer the same. I've brought my friends here and they said the same thing. Staff is very welcoming and deliver quick service. The venue is very clean and in mint condition.
The servers were really nice! Food was delicious! We got Hummus, Lamb Adana Kebab, Lamb Beyti, and Kunefe; thought we ordered it with ice cream but received with non, however, it was still good. Definitely coming back to try other food off the menu!
This place is by far one of thee best places to eat in Philly! Everything was so fresh and very tasty! The service was amazing and prices were very reasonable considering how much you get!
The food here is great! I’ve been coming here consistently for about a month before writing this review to make sure it was consistent and I can honestly say that I’ve never been let down. The staff members are very polite and create a welcoming atmosphere. Their fries are some of the best, if not the best, around and it will definitely satisfy any cravings you may have. All of their items are quality and the portion size is fulfilling. Based on my personal experience, they go above and beyond for their customers when they don’t have to.
Wow I saw a 1 star review saying somebody was rude, that person must not be there anymore. Everybody was really nice. I just moved to the area and they answered my questions. Can’t wait to go back and try their fries. Do y’all see my picture? THAT IS HOW U DO A WRAP, I almost couldn’t finish it lol
If you have ever had food from halal trucks, then you are gonna love this. The quality of the food is top notch and will make you coming back for more after your first taste. This place has the best of middle eastern food all in one place with some of the most unforgettable flavors. I recommend the NY Chicken platter for those trying it for the first time as the juicy pieces of chicken mixed with rice, and their sauces are unlike anything you have experienced before, even if you are familiar with similar dishes. The NY Lamb over rice and salmon over rice are two other options to try. There is also the option to combo multiple meats which can make the food even more delightful. The owner is often there and is one of the nicest people you will meet. He will make sure that your time there is worth it every time. His employees are also great at customer service which only makes the dining experience more enjoyable. Next time you decide you are in the mood for middle eastern food, or are curious about their delicacies, you will not regret a visit to Al-Sham Spring Garden!
I was craving some middle eastern food for lunch and wanted to skip the usual Cava or Honeygrow so I decided to give Naya a try. I'm so glad that I did. My order was about $ (including all fees but tip) and it was a LOT of food for $. The delivery fees kill you with UberEats but the food seemed very reasonably priced. I ordered a Naya Salad with EXTRA Chicken Shwarma - you could barely call it salad. The extra protein made it more of a chicken bowl. It was very good and a great mix of ingredients. I also got one Kibbe (deep fried beef ball) that was tiny but delicious. I opted for a side of Cucumber Yogurt dip and some house-made Baked Zaatar Pita Chips (that were very fresh despite their professional packaging). As I said, the meal was delicious and travelled really well. The packaging was great and generally I was blown away by this place that I had never even heard of before. If you live in Center City (or elsewhere - I live in Fairmount), definitely give this place a try. It was a nice change of place and the perfect delivery lunch bowl.
Didn’t expect to eat one of the best cheesesteaks in Philly from this place but we did. Their fries are so good too. Mediterranean style plates were huge.
It's a pleasant surprise to find this Mediterranean restaurant at the Center City. It's a quick 6-minute walk from Suburban station. We ordered Aya’s taster to share with 4 people as an appetizer: it comes with 4 different hummus, falafel, tzatziki, waraq enab, kalamata and baba ghanough, plus abundant pita bread. We really enjoy it. For the lunch entree, I tried the Seared Almond-Crusted Salmon. It's delicious! They also have the best French fries (yes). The service was excellent - everyone was well attended to.
I dont know how I just found this place a few weeks ago when I am always eating Falafel Hummus Wraps all around the City ! So fresh ! The Falafel is crispy yet soft and full of flavor! Hummus extra smooth Pickles are great ! And the grilled flatbread is fresh and warm ! Totally recommend this gem ! There is a close seating area ! Next time you gotta return something to Amazon on rd stop and treat yourself!
