Martial Arts Schools near me in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, US.

"This place is great! James works very hard to create a safe and welcoming environment for anyone to come learn the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I’ve been studying for about nine months, with a very limited background in military survival martial arts prior to starting with James. I’m already testing for my first belt! This is not one of those bro gyms where you have to worry about being a ragdoll for the black belts in the room; everyone is treated with respect and humility and you’re encouraged to learn at your own pace. They’re really developing a strong community here, and I have made some great friends along the way!"

"Great instruction and great team atmosphere. One of the few places that the black belts with stay after and work with you. I felt like a part of the team the first day I walked in, several years ago. Now it's just an extended family. Great for the kids and all the instructors are top notch and go above and beyond. The best part is the entire team is always looking to help each other improve. Highly recommend for kids, adults, and even old guys like me."

"I'm a student at Mr.Dales dojo and I love it this is my first martial arts place that went to other than the the YMCA lol so I recomend this 5 stars"

"Excellent, practical training for real life situations. Comfortable environment makes for a great training atmosphere. Sensei is knowledgeable and excels at transmitting that knowledge to his students."

"I've been going to OMAC for the past almost 7 years. I was 49 when I started. It's been a break down and rebuild experience as I've worked through a bit of neglect. I've tried at least a little bit of everything they have to offer, which is Taekwondo, Gumdo (Korean sword), Hapkido (hands on fighting/holds/joint locks), and Kimoodo (kinda like Taekwondo on Tai Chi). Their form of Taekwondo is traditional Korean martial arts blended with Shotokan karate. The school, founded by SGM Choi, has been active since 1972 so they have a lot more depth to their curriculum than a lot of other schools. I'm currently a black belt in Taekwondo and a red belt in Gumdo. They also have camps, major one in Summer, where you get to further hone what you're doing as well as be introduced to other martial arts. Our school is the one that hosts Battle of Columbus which is the martial arts competition that runs in tangent with the Arnold. We also have multiple branches in the Columbus area, the U.S. and internationally. I've been to a couple of the other branches which are all a little different based on the instructor."

"Worst place to learn martial art, doesn’t teach you anything besides kicks and terrible katas/forms, in belt testing they give you a promotion for no reason even if they have no quality. They give belt skips to people that help others and if their a teenager and they don’t have the skill for the belt they give."

"Best quality martial arts training for the best price in town. The lead instructor is super friendly and teaches extremely useful self-defense skills, cannot imagine training anywhere else."

"Master Cho is amazing at what he does and he is very humorous. All of his classes are enjoyable and fun to learn in. Everyone there is friendly and the classes really helped with my self-esteem and discipline. In short, Master Cho is awesome."

"We have been attending for over a year now and really love our experience. Very quickly I felt the instructors and owners knew my son's name which really makes him feel so special. I really feel this is a great environment to learn discipline and eventually form some lasting relationships for my 7 year old."

"Greg and his son are great with the kids! Very happy we started taking our boys (9 and 11) for the martial arts class. It’s a ton of fun for them, but also a very active environment, and each and every kid (class is normally around 12 kids) gets attention and focus!"

"Dynamic Self Defense is AMAZING! Scott, our instructor was engaging, encouraging, realistic, technical and FUN! My group of 30 had a great day with so many stories and pictures to share along with many new tools and tricks when it comes to defense. Thanks again for everything!"

"Not having much experience in combat sports before starting at Mat Lab I was nervous to get started. After the first day I was hooked and I promise you will be to. Mat Lab is everything you could want in a gym, it’s clean, well run, and the skills you learn are not fancy YouTube videos but real technique proven for decades. If your on the fence about starting your first class is free! come see how we do things at Mat Lab"

"Love this place! Recently finished a 6 week fitness challenge. Not only we’re the workouts amazing, but the atmosphere is relaxing 😌 also making new friends was a plus! Continuing my fitness journey here ❤️"
