Kaiseki Restaurants in Ohop, Washington, US.

"A little bit of Kyoto here in our backyard! My husband and I were so happy to find this gem. We've had kaiseki before in Kyoto and Wa'z does not disappoint. The ambience is minimalistic which allows you to really focus on the food. I highly recommend doing the chef's counter for the best experience. It was fantastic to see Chef Hiro and his team meticulously make each dish -- like a beautifully choreographed performance. I enjoyed learning about the cultural significance of each of the dishes. Each is carefully curated and brings out the essence of the traditional ingredients. We will definitely be back to try his next menu!"

"My favourite Japanese restaurant ever. It run by the nicest people, the staff are basically like a family. The photos I took aren’t even all of it, the food is beautiful and tastes even better!!! The black cod misozuke literally melts in you mouth!!! They have a seasonal menu which is always delicious. They source foods locally when they can! They are always trying to create new dishes. I can’t wait for the bar seating to open back up so we can watch and chat with the chefs!! When I have friends and family visit Vancouver, this is always the first place I want to bring them!! Here one tip I have if you are new: get the smoked Oshi!!!! It melts in your mouth and leaves a Smokey flavour that lingers even minutes after you are done."

"High class Japanese dining. Broiled mackerel and sashimi were excellent. Quiet kitchen and dining experience. Definitely a quality over quantity restaurant."

"Looking for delicious food? Looking for a laid back atmosphere? Coming into Paradise I was reminded of a high-end bar, with an amazing selection of alcohol alongside an interesting menu. My wife and I were wanting to try somewhere new so we stopped here to check it out. We were a bit skeptical at first and didn’t know what to expect, but after looking at the menu and settling in, we got our food and it was fantastic! The cuts of sashimi offered were amazing and the cooked food couldn’t have been prepared any better. You should definitely give this place a try if you’re looking for an exquisite Japanese experience. It is also very nice if you want to just stop by and have a couple drinks with some finger food. Thanks again Paradise, we will be returning soon!"

"Amazing food! Be sure to get reservations for this mom and pop Japenese restraunt! We had sushi, nigiri, tonkatsu, yoga soba that all had amazing depth if flavor. The calamari was tender and everything was cooked perfectly! We'll definitely be back to try other dishes."

"One of the top Omakase restaurants in Bay area. Both the freshness of the fishes and the design of several dishes are giving me surprise. I will definitely come back."

"Wonderful staff and chef. The dishes were amazing and delicious and flavorful. I am not a big sushi person as I have not been to a really nice place. The fish here just melts in your mouth. It was soo good. Sat next to some other patrons who were regulars and it was wonderful how the staff remember them and catered to them. Had a wonderful first experience so will come back."

"The ultimate hidden gem in the Bay Area—An unassuming mom-and-pop ramen shop in a strip plaza transformed into an intimate kaiseki fine-dining experience, highlighting the best seasonal ingredients from Japan. Highly recommended."

"Amazing first-time kaiseki experience! I chose the $200 option and did not leave disappointed. The quality and flavor combinations of each course/plate was superb and you could tell that the three chefs were very meticulous and involved in the entire preparation process - right in front of you! I didn’t leave feeling stuffed/full but I get that wasn’t the point of the meal and appreciated how well it paired with my sake. I felt almost like I was in Japan itself even though I’d never been. They also accommodated my shellfish allergy despite the difficulty it may have posed to them. Overall, yes it’s pricey but I would do it again in a heartbeat next time I’m in Vegas!"

"Great omakase. Went for their first seating while they were still setting up and was cool to see. Service was five stars. My favorite was the corn actually😂. So unique and tasty. They did a nice cake for my husband for his birthday. Great meal, will be back."

"Asuka was open four years ago in Westwood Los Angeles. It offers an $85 or $150 kaisaki menu and a la carte. I like the good pacing of foods with very fresh raw fishes and a nice ambience. We love the small outdoor dining environment. Currently, the sushi bar is not open due to the pandemic. The restaurant inside is very clean."

"Had an extraordinary culinary experience at n/naka last night. I understand why it's so hard to get a reservation... It was without equal. The best meal I have ever enjoyed. We got the optional wine and sake pairing to match the 13 course kaiseki and it was perfection. Each course was beautiful, surprising, nuanced, and holy f*ck delicious. I'm in awe of the mastery of technique and respect for ingredients displayed by the chefs. Some of the best service I've experienced at a Michelin star establishment as well. Attention to detail is what sets n/naka apart. The meal ends with a personal thank you from the chef. Filled with gratitude ❤️"

"Food and service was AMAZING. Reservations needed ahead of time along with pre-payment. It was about $160/person. Additional $80 for drink pairing (highly recommend). Food was delicious and well plated. I didn't think I was going to be full from a tasting menu but by the end of it, I was surprisingly full and satisfied. The menu changes monthly as the chef uses ingredients that is in season. Expensive but well worth it. Will definitely be returning."

"Wow! What an amazing restaurant. I took my girlfriend here for her 30th birthday and it was an incredible experience. Our server Kay (I think) was friendly, warm, and an overall great teacher about Japanese culture. It really felt like we were transported to Japan. I would highly recommend this authentic experience for those interested in Japanese culture. Thank you!"

"Great omakase experience in NYC. The best omakase experience I've ever had. We had the 16 course dinner. 2 appetizers and 12 pieces. The squid sushi was extremely tender and we were served 2 different types of uni. California and Hokkaido, both were very good. Each piece was explained well by the chef and servers. Loved the tuna and mushroom and fatty tuna with uni."

"Contender for our favorite meal of the year, this Kaiseki menu includes 11 courses for $300. Yamada-san is regarded as one of the best Japanese chefs in NYC with roots and training in Kyoto and Fukuoka. The quality of every dish, the creativity and mix unique ingredients, and the beautiful all wood interiors make this a truly special place. Can’t recommend enough 🔥"
