th Bjj school in two years…. These guys and girls seem fearless, willing to roll with players who outweigh them by pounds…. The instructor owns the school and seems to specialize in breaking down complex maneuvers into understandable parts. Unfortunately the moves seem to be made for gymnasts which makes sense as half the students seem to be under and have no problem pulling them off. Me? Ahem no.
The facility is spacious. Mateus is an awesome instructor. He is technically sound and he also majored in Physical Ed. so he knows his stuff.
Came to Sacramento for work and decided to check out Yemaso BJJ. They have great coaches and members. The facilities are large and well-kept. Everyone is welcoming and helpful which makes it a great school and learning environment.
I highly recommend training at Cia Paulista and am honored to have trained there for over four years! Sensei Andre, Chris, and Nick are highly proficient and were great training partners.
Welcoming and educational instructors who made each class informative with hands on direction. Was honored to work with each of the amazing instructors. Facility was always extremely clean
Both my daughter and I enjoy the classes very much. Mr. Spicer keeps the classes interesting and fun! I feel we are learning something practical and getting in shape at the same time.
I've been training jiu jitsu for a while now. I know or trained with a lot of the instructors in town. There are a lot of places I can train but I chose to train at Waza because the owner and instructor Derek is one of the best instructors I have met. He shows a lot of little details that make the moves work and he is able to explain things so they are easy to understand. The environment at the school is very positive. There are a lot of good students to train with. Everyone is helpful and willing to help you get better. They also have a very good kids program there. My daughter enjoys training there. If you've ever wanted to try jiu jitsu give Waza a try. There are a lot of physical and mental benefits to jiu jitsu and this is one of the best schools in town.
Tony Nunez has taught me a lot about learning self defense it is a good workout for you it helps you get stronger and I feel people should try it out
Our daughter has been attending this studio for nearly 4 years and we love it! She has learned an immense amount for her young age and has been to competition 3 times. She is complimented constantly for her stamina and strength, which comes from great teaching! The staff are more than helpful and always there if you need an extra push. My family is blessed to have found this dojo and will continue to attend to learn the art. Thank you Premier!!
Amazing, dedicated, knowledgeable instructors. Family owned business that's focused on students' well being and personal growth. Always donating to local schools. Highly recommend!
Fantastic program! Amazing instructors who are full of energy and positivity! Master Na’s smile radiates all the way to the parents watching from outside. Master Lee is a tower of strength! This program will change your child (for the better!!) An added bonus, they’ll even pick up a little Korean.
Warm group of students and it made sense given the owner, Gustavo's, disposition. It was easy to enter into a dialogue on technical nuances with Gustavo, whether before the class or privately. Clean and expansive environment. Great for varied use and training modalities. I've trained jiujitsu since and earned my black belt in . Certainly recommend trying your hand within these walls.
My son has been wrestling for just over a year now and I have to say I couldn’t be happier that we started this journey at Mat Time. He has learned so much about wrestling and even more about himself. I’ve watched him become a more resilient, respectful and confident young man. I absolutely credit the knowledgeable coaches and the positive yet challenging environment they provide. My son would easily say Coach Adrian is an all time favorite! He is great with the kids during practice and pays attention to even smallest details making sure they understand. He is committed to ensuring these young athletes are working hard, improving themselves and their skills. Coaching is something that he obviously takes seriously and genuinely enjoys. The owner is super friendly and does a great job keeping things clean and safe. He is very supportive of not only his members but also his community which I am beyond grateful for. Mat Time is not just a gym, it’s a place we come to stay healthy while having fun, making new friends and always feeling welcome. Thank you!
