Dynamite experience! My wife and I stopped in after a couple pints at our favorite pub Donneybrook just down the block. We were blown away with the food. The samosas were so good! Don’t wait another minute to check out this excellent new spot.
A tasty part of the Manhattan.."Street Cart Dining" experience. A full meal for under $. I had the lamb and chicken combo with a small salad where both meats were tender and flavourful. Served fresh and hot.. add a cold can soda for only $1... Enjoy!
Large portions, very tasty food, and for a very reasonable price! The couple who operates this cart offer quick and friendly service too :)
Absolutely a MUST go!! The food was so delicious and tasted, clean (if you know, you know). I don’t normally enjoy vegan but their vegan curry was outstanding!! The staff was so warm and welcoming. Over all, a true diamond in the rough. Can’t wait to go back!!
Best Lamb Kofta ever had, traditional Spices and fabulous meats. Per sure I'll be back.
This is a great neighborhood spot for great Indian food. Their sauces, Naan bread. And dishes were all delicious. We had the garlic Naan, cauliflower appetizer, butter chicken, and eggplant and stuffed pepper. We can't wait to come back and try other dishes.
We had an absolutely great experience: the Tandoori chicken was moist, and the Fig Lamb was moist and flavorsome to the point where the typical gaminess of lamb was non existent (in short - perfection). The Saffron Shrimp was also full of flavor and moist. My wife and I eat out a lot and Indian food has been on our agenda for years now. Our typical experience has been that Indian food while full of spices and flavor was overly dry. Here at Jaz they do it right! Did I mention how moist all the food is!? :-) The owner Jaz (she named her restaurant after herself) can be found behind the bar. She is a wonderful and engaging person who not only owns her restaurant here, but lives here too! See you again soon Jaz!
Hands down the best Indian restaurant in the city. Delicious, high quality, authentic Indian food. The decor is stunning and the vibe is fantastic. I dine here often and this is my go-to place for get togethers with friends. The owner is wonderful and recommends dishes that I wouldn’t normally try (and they are always incredible). Truly a gem on the UES. Highly, highly recommend!
Absolutely killer food and service. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and attentive. My friend and I CRUSHED a meal probably fit for five people in nine minutes. We, two chatty broads, were silent for the entire time because the most important task before us was getting as much deliciousness into our belly as possible. See before and after photos. One of the best meals in Harlem for a great price!
Without a DOUBT the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I had to take a minute after my mean and personally thank the chef for the dining experience. /. Perfection.
Best Indian food in nyc. It’s halal, vegetarian, and vegan friendly. Owner is super nice and you can tell it is homemade with love !
The best curry in NYC!! My husband and I living in this neighborhood for 8 years tried so many local restaurants were dying to discover a new place and so happy found this amazing restaurant! There are some Indian restaurants around here but we had never gotten full satisfaction by them so when we heard there is a new Indian restaurant, we were so excited to try it out. We ordered a green salad as a starter and then tandoori chicken, garlic naan, and mix vegetable curry. I personally can’t eat spicy food so I was a little bit nervous about curry but once I tasted it I couldn’t stop eating until nothing was left! Its flavor was insane!!! I can’t tell you enough how delicious it was! The Rice and naan were cooked just right. A great match to emphasize the curry’s amazing flavor. Tandoori chicken was well marinated and perfectly grilled. After our meal, the owner suggested to us his favorite dessert, described as having “cheese” and being “sweet” and I was deeply hooked by it. It’s called Rasmalai and it was so delicious. We will definitely come back very soon!!
Good Indian restaurant with quality food. I tried their combo with 1 veg and 1 non veg with naan and rice. It's was for 8. with tax $9.. I think it was an absolute steal deal as price for this type of place and food is generally higher. All the gravies are pre cooked but fresh. Naan is cooked at the time of order and very tasty. I tried chana masala and butter chicken, both were delicious but not too spicy. It's because they need to cater American people also. You can always ask for extra chillies. Staff is kind and generous, they made me try gravies. They also give kheer (rice pudding) complimentary.
Wow ! Great deal here for all day prix fix . It's $. for appetizer and an entree with rice and naan . Great place. Dessert was extra and they also give you some papadum to start . They have wine by the glass and also Indian beer now . We started with a tasty homemade samosa with potato and pea and spicy chutney. And some onion pakora. Delicious ! My main was Saag Paneer but next time I would get the vegetable korma or a shrimp dish My friend liked his lamb korma a lot. The naan was really big ! Fresh and tasty that was almost my favorite part of the dinner. Also I'd recommend the Pinot noir as being better than the rose wine by the glass . For dessert we had gulab jamon and it was hot ! But next time I'd try the kheer rice pudding. I would call this a great spot in Gramercy for a casual date . Very good food and not too expensive.
High quality ingredients delicately put together. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The three curry we had were all unique, especially the lotus roots one. The beet one had a nice spicy kick! Appetizer wise the crispy eggplant was my favorite. Also loved the garlic naan and parantha.
Best Indian food I have had in NYC, great authentic flavors that are close to what you get in India (North), large selection, good portions, nice presentation, friendly staff and decent prices. They have a couple of vegan options too. We went as a large group (mostly non-indian) and tried over menu items and we loved about % of them and the remaining were still decent. Even Indian food skeptics loved it. Except for the spicy dishes, most of them were easy to handle spice wise. Our favorite dishes were appetizers:Veeray di ghobi, lamb seekh kebab, bhel puri. Main course: paneer makhani, chicken korma and Ludhianavi lamb curry. Dessert: Gulab jamun (one of the best I have ever had)
