Here is a review from an user.
So glad this hisorical property is preserved; a relaxing, tranquil place to visit! Next time I hope they're open so we can check out the inside of the mill. It looks neat from the windows. There are also some great trails here that follow along the creek.
As far as I know this is the end of the canal great fishing
Now that the gooses are gone, the place is doing much better. The owners have a son that always plays loud obnoxious music, but he is a nice kid, when I look in The windows, I always see him sleeping on the couch. Also, there is a large barn on the property, I think they build rockets in there or something, and there is a ton of cars going In and out. I always hear classic rock music in there, so at least the guy has decent taste. Also. That review by Fayez was a sham. That guy has no idea what he is talking about.
Fantastic historical Swedish Log Cabin from the late 's. Come see for yourself on June2, for the Haverford Heritage Festival and every first Sunday in June.
This place is run and lovingly maintained by a group of enthusiastic and knowledgeable locals. They offer tours for school field trips complete with soap and candle making, a blacksmith and many other live interactive demos of life back when Nitre Hall was operating. Full of artifacts found on site and plenty of history to discover this place is a great little local gem.
My residence for years
I like this place. Historical, a good learning Institute. When I'd had more time on my hands, I use to spend hours on in. Several days a week. I really miss doing that.
Lightly used trails. When you go in you do feel like your deep in the woods.
Very nice relaxing place I took my dogs and friend on a picnic there 😀
/ realistic experience. Take a school trip here u will not be sorry!
