"Listen up ppl! Once you start coming, you will not be able to find another local spot with authentic Hawaiian culture and taste! The owner Lauren, brings the knowledge and delicate traditions from her island of Oahu straight to the South Austin! You can’t go wrong with Loco Moco at breakfast time, Teriyaki Musubi for a quick lunch/snack, or the BBQ Shoyu Chicken for dinner. Don’t sleep on the Mac Salad or the Li Hung Pineapples; fantastic options for each dish! Be sure to check the website before you order to ensure your food item isn’t sold out for the day since their hours are dependent upon the food they sell! Enjoy 😉"

"The food here is excellent! The choices are plentiful, but not overwhelming. Very generous with the protein, and the bowl is quite filling. Staff is friendly, and the seating area is clean and tidy. My only “complaint” (which is more of a comment than anything else) is that, on this very warm evening, the A/C was lacking. With energy prices skyrocketing, it makes sense though, especially in downtown Austin! The music wasn’t too loud, and was quite calming. Loving it!"

"I would not have imagine such an amazing experience from a food court. After hearing all the raving and recommendations from friends,TikToks, food blogs, I was convinced to stop by. I have two emotions going through me, first, sadness that i have missed the opportunity to have eaten at the salty cargo for the 3 years I have lived here and second, excited that I know about it and can come back often because I’m not too far! I ordered the whole fried fish. It’s huge! Comes with rice, butter lettuce, thinly sliced onions, cilantro, macaroni salad and an amazing made-in-house Sambal. It could have easily fed two people but I was greedy and had two meals from it. The fish was simple, seemed like a little salt and pepper, and perfectly fried. I made little lettuce wraps with all the herbs and gave it a drizzle of lime and some of the sambal. It gave me memories of home. The bf got the fried pork sandwich which I would have eaten/shared with him too but I was too full from gorging myself with fish. I’m surprised that there aren’t more reviews here about these guys. I’m converted and I’ll be back!"

"Friendly attentive service, fast, tasty, and fresh! Everything you'd want in a poke restaurant. We've been here twice and wouldn't hesitate to come again and recommend this place to friends. Half of our family is vegetarian and there are plenty of options for us! It's a delicious, healthy option and I wish there was one closer to us in San Antonio!"

"Really really *really* good ramen. The broth is profound (😜), the pork is great (they char it. who knew it would make it so cool!), and the variations are distinct and, you guessed it, great. The specialties (bulgogi ramen!) are even greater. Yes, I'm going overboard, but hey, this is excellent ramen!"

"Visiting the area and I love a good poké bowl. Overall my experience was great. There’s a slip of paper to mark what you’d like if you choose to design your own bowl. The presentation was phenomenal 🤤 The ladies behind the counter were nice and the atmosphere was cute. The strawberry lemonades were delicious and fresh."

"A burst of flavor with the contrast of warm rice and cold fish has never missed. This is what you want, don’t second guess it. It’s rich in flavor, very filling, and never misses. Definitely recommend, always."

"The food was amazing! The pineapple dole whip was the best dessert I’ve had in a while! And the chicken and rice were really great too. I will say though, I wish they kept all their ordering systems more uniform! Online there wasn’t an option for the dole whip, and you couldn’t ask for the luau pork with a mixed platter. But then on the in-store ordering system there was no pork option at all on the menu, but the dole whip was on the menu! Plus some of the sides weren’t available. But other than some inconsistencies with ordering, the food itself was great! And the staff inside of the Kitchen United MIX were so friendly and helpful!"

"I continue to return to this place. I call it fast food sushi! I'm impressed with the quality of the fish. I had been hesitant for a number of months... until another one of my sushi buds said they've had good experiences. I'm a believer. Although, I do wish they had the hamachi all the time. It's been hit or miss for me. I do like kimchi. I've ordered it three times. Only one good experience. This last visit was szechuan pepper overload. I was disappointed sake didn't fall within the happy hour turf. Pic = Yalza half tuna, half salmon, cucumber salad, kimchi, sake."

"First poke bowl in Austin metro, it was really great than I expected. Nice, clean environment to sit down to eat. Staff were friendly and explained well their menu and what would be included and what would be extra charge. Definitely go back for the next or next next poke bowl soon!"

"Great food, lovely spot for outdoor dining. Very friendly staff. Food was outrageous, simply delicious. We had the Twisted Pineapple Slam with chicken and the Hawaiian Mac Salad. Mac Salad is crazy good! Also had the Hawaiian beef teriaki skewers with side salad & grilled zuchini. Simply delish! Oh, and don't forget the Finadene - Incredibly flavorful! Forgot to take pics of the food, but...we'll be back for sure and take pics next time. Love this place."

"First time going to Hula Cowgirl and it was Ah-amazing ! I highly recommend it! They have many different options to choose from. They have a little bit of everything for everyone, I promise you will find something for even the picky ones! They also have sugar free items ! Not to mention I was shocked by the size of the shaved ice, it’s massive, they are definitely generous servings ! Plus the stuff was super nice, welcoming, and helpful."

"I simply LOVE this chain. So whenever I am in Texas, this is my go-to lunch spot. The food is great. Better than Panda Express which has similar food. I grew up in Hawaii, and they nailed the Hawaiian plate lunch. I wish you had locations in my state."
