FAQ:

Here is a review from an user.

Chef Julia is a true delight. It was the second time our group of friends had her cook for us and it was spectacular. We had two nights in a row of her specialties and wanted more. She showed up hours before, prepped and organized in our kitchen with all of her materials with the support of a sous chef. She was professional, kind, sincere, fun, and always smiling and laughing - it was hard not to laugh in her presence. What a joy! Night one was a quinoa appetizer, main was wild halibut and two forms of sweet potato and desert was a poached pear. Night two was grilled shrimp lettuce starter, sea scallops and pea puree and our birthday desert was a framboisier (french for raspberries) dessert. All in all she's a out of ! Love Chef Julia. Here's to next year in May (again!).

Saw this the morning I was leaving the Intercontinental and I had to get! Amazingly great taste. Fast service and right price.

Came here for my birthday. It was ok. The food was forgettable. The duck was bland as were the beans that accompanied them. The pork chop was equivalent to what I make at home. The Spanish onion soup was on point though and so was the cheese board. The service was slow and spotty.

Can't say enough good things about this place!! I'm from New Jersey and my daughter who lives in the area suggested going here for happy hour at the bar since we couldn't get in for dinner reservations !! ( Ps she and I frequently visit france and love the food!)happy hour is fabulous! Great menu great drinks fabulous bartenders! Ambience !! The mussels outstanding along with the shrimp lamb chops ravioli and pate! We tried a little bit of everything Oh did I mention the bread !!! ???? Can't wait to try this place again next time in the area highly recommend you won't be disappointed!!

Absolutely delicious! We really enjoyed our dishes. High quality food, amazing flavor combinations, truly a delight! Servers were super friendly and nice. Will definitely come back to try other items on the menu :)

Excellent place! Delicious, nice environment and superb service. Drinks are different and good. I tried the special that was a shank pork and it was soft, savory and right amount of sauce/broth. We had paté as entrance and it was a genuine flavor, feeling the authenticity of a home made paté. The place is nice, small and makes you feel welcome and comfy. For dessert we had the Crepes Suzette and they were out of regular. Not super sweet, but very balanced. I enjoyed every bite. I definitely will come back here.

Great staff and outstanding food. Definitely recommend it. They also have great wine selection.

My favorite part about going to my office downtown is that I get to stop by this cafe for breakfast or lunch. It’s authentically French and everything I’ve tried is delicious. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are so kind. The smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, paninis, salads, coffee, pastries - it’s all amazing. I’m on a mission to try everything on the menu! Hands down my favorite casual restaurant in downtown.

We celebrated our 1st Valentine's Day at Mister A’s with the great view of downtown San Diego and the plane’s landing at the airport. Can see the bay and the ships sailing out of the harbour. We had the Cajun-Style Shrimp and Heirloom Grits, Buttermilk fried chicken and waffle, house-made ice cream and Cool as Cucumber I have ever had. The taste was authentic !!! Service was excellent from the moment we walked in until we left. The ambience is memorable.

Delicious good sized plates to split. Delicious from chef specials to apps to meal. Waitstaff extremely attentive friendly and accommodating and the manager owner is the man!! Will come back next time from NJ.

Friendly staff. Good ambiance. Fantastic food!!! It’s my birthday dinner celebration! Everything is fine! Thanks Almighty! Highly recommend! We come all the way from Bay Area to enjoy this!

Great local spot to have, love their fries and cocktails, really good service, no wait on a late saturday night! Have to come back to try their mussels

I was in San Diego for 3 nights, and chose 3 restaurants for dinner before hand. This one was my favorite by far. Live jazz music, incredible food, great service. Thank you to the entire team at Dobson's! I will absolutely recommend dinner here to anyone visiting (or living in) San Diego.

Pleasant bistro serving traditional French fare in the heart of Hillcrest. The lavender fries are a must-try. They are crispy, salty and floral - very unique, and it totally works. The steak frites au poivre came with a thick, rich sauce with peppercorns and caramelized onions and was pleasantly salty. You will not leave hungry after dining here. Service was very good. They were experiencing an unexpected rush for a Sunday evening, and my server managed to take care of more than her fair share of guests with efficiency and an upbeat demeanor.

Good service, good vibes, and a perfectly frothy cappuccino. Had the fresh berries crepe and was delighted with the portion, the freshness of the fruit, and the warmth of the crepe. Also got a chocolate croissant to go and it was dank sauce dot com. Will def come back 🤙🤙🤙🤙

For the most part, delicious food and great drink selection. They only had one server (the owner, manager?) but he was trying to keep up as best he could. My issue was with some of the food. The "caramelized onions" that topped some of the dishes were thoroughly cooked but about minutes shy of becoming caramelized. Also, two people in my party ordered the mushroom soup and it was served about room temperature - they didn't say anything because of the single server...

Really good breakfast & lunch choices, coffee was also very good. Overall a very cute spot with a unique french atmosphere.

Coming from France, I tried a lot a places to find a good croissant and a good pain au chocolat. But this place was from far the better. All the patisserie were amazing and even better than some bakery in France.

The ambience is nice and the waitresses are sweet but that is about all the positive things i can say about the place. We have tried it out two times. Waitresses are slow, and both times they made mistakes with the order (and we were ordering for two people, so nothing complicated). The food quality is just tolerable. Omelette was dry, and so was the rosemary potatoes that came with it. Crepe felt like chewing on a piece of lastic. Last time we had french toast which was decent and burger which was just okay but you can get a better burger from in-n-out with 1/3 of the price.

Pricy place, good vibe. But the food is not as good as I expected. I ordered bison tenderloin and 8oz fillet mignon. The meat was great but flavor can be improved.
