Here is a review from an user.
Fantastic doctor to work with he genuinely cares about his patients.
Dr Lauren Johnson is amazing. Very professional, knowledgeable, approachable and all things you’d expect from an expert in her field. The whole process with all staff included has been very professional. Although IVF is an expensive process - knowing you’re in great hands makes all the difference. They also offer some financial incentives which helps take some pressure off. Highly recommend REACH and Dr Johnson.
If I could give her 6 stars I would. Every obgyn office will have its ups and downs but as a medical provider she is outstanding. Honestly cares about her patients. She came back from vacation a day early to deliver my daughter. She communicates directly with me instead of through a nurse or receptionist even though I'm now past the Ob days and just see her annually. She is incredibly down to earth and kind and honestly just responsible and sensible as a care provider with a great intuition of what's necessary and what's not. Highly highly recommend.
Billing department is absolutely atrocious. The staff was really nice at my appointments and very organized which is awesome for a fertility specialist. However the billing department is incompetent and unresponsive. I was told to pay for my appointments in full at the time of service because my insurance would not cover it. Turns out my insurance did cover it with the exception of a very tiny copay. They refused to refund me because they said they had not officially received the money from my insurance even though they did see my insurance said they were paying it. They continued to try to make me pay in full at each appointment despite my insurance covering it. I have been trying to speak with their billing department for months and they keep ignoring me or telling me a manager will call me back which never happens. At this point I am owed over $ and it doesn’t seem like I will ever get this money back. As nice and organized as this company was at appointments I’d stay away unless you want to throw your money away and never see it again. Follow up: I did finally hear back from them after threatening to file with the states attorney office and BBB and the lady I spoke with was very apologetic and nice about the situation and is taking care of it. However it shouldn’t take months of following up to finally get results. Also I should never have been paying out of pocket when it was covered by my insurance.
This was a good experience for a new beginnings for my husband and I. My husband had a vasectomy in and had his vasectomy reversal today 7//. We had a great experience at Carolina Vasectomy Reversal they treat us like family and made sure we was comfortable. Mr Daniel really have a great since of humor lol love and I so excited as the Journey begins. Will be updating as the journey progress it not to late keep the faith God will see you through every step of the way.Amen🙏🏽
Dr. Jessica McLaughlin helped us successfully get pregnant after many years of trying at another fertility center. Great communication skills (which is really important during this process) she really takes her time to explain all options (yes we had options ) and answer any questions you have. You will not be disappointed with the Nexton office, or coastal as a whole. The staff is so wonderful !
Couldn't begin to explain how grateful we are to have met Dr Moore. We had some complications during the end ofnour pregnancy and during delivery. He made us feel so comfortable. In the midst of the chaos - I genuinely felt like he had it all under control. This man knows his stuff. I watched him convince an almost defeated mother -who had been in labor for hours and was exhausted - to keep going and push harder than she ever has. She was almost to the point of thinking she couldnt do it. Dr Moore quickly got her into the zone and she became a BEAST!!! When it was at its craziest moment.. I literally watched him save my daughters life. It's a moment and he's a man ill never forget for as long as i live. If you're pregnant I STRONGLY RECOMMEND at least meeting him. Especially for Dad's who feel as if almost all other Drs don't address them correctly. Hes upfront, confident, completely professional, and extremely good at his craft.
Durnell was the on call physician when I had my baby a week ago and he made it a terrible experience. He was so inappropriate. He made jokes and mocked me. He acted like delivering my baby was an inconvenience for him. Thank God that the nurse was wonderful and helped to make up for his horrible attitude.
She is the best Doctor I have ever had. So patient, friendly, and highly encouraging. I feel at home when I share my concerns with her. Still praying for my miracle even as I continue treatment at Carilion. Thanks so much!!
My husband and I have had nothing but great experiences with Dr. Gentry. She always made sure that we understood and were comfortable at every step in the process, answered the millions of questions I had very quickly, and went the extra mile to make us feel like we were more than just patients. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for fertility care!
To clarify: this review is about Heritage Valley OBGYN, formerly Tri State. This is one of those reviews that is both very positive and negative at the same time. I had two children with this practice and enjoyed all of the doctors here. All good experiences! About to have my 4th child and sadly decided that this is no longer the practice for me. I am not anti-vax but decided to postpone the Covid vax as I was trying to get pregnant and found multiple studies and conflicting info on the impact of the vax on fertility. NY Times recently published one discussing the fact that % of women experience menstrual cycle changes after the vax. So I evaluated the risk and delayed until we have our child. Saw one of the OBs at this practice (who I greatly respect) and felt shamed and disrespected as she discussed at length the necessity that I leave the clinic and immediately go get the vax. My views and concerns were completely disregarded. This simply isn’t the practice for me anymore. I have found a midwife who will allow me the freedom to make my own birth plan. This review may help you to choose this practice and may drive others away. I’m quite ok with either. I had very good experiences here until this point and hope you do as well (if you choose to go with them). I just thought other like minded individuals might want to be prepared for an argument if your birth plan strays from the norm or CDC recommendations.
I was very impressed with Dr. Spirtos and his staff. Sandra was so kind and I knew I was going to be happy with this office from the minute I spoke to Sandra on the very first phone call. I called on a Friday, gave her my story, and she had my appointment scheduled for Monday because of my cycle she didn’t want to waste any time. I was referred to a bigger practice in town, but was warned not to go there by a friend. My friend said she felt like she was just a number and never felt worse in her entire life. She never treated with Dr. Spirtos, but said he has a very good reputation in the medical field (she is a nurse) and if she could do it all over again, she would choose him. I am so thankful that I did because I have him to thank for my baby girl (due in January). I definitely appreciated his direct communication approach and I was certainly never offended by him. I felt he was professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. I appreciated his sense of humor as well. When treating with a fertility doctor, the appointments can be very disappointing and tough and he definitely had a way of making me feel better on the bad days. After each appointment, he brings you back to his office to discuss the treatment plan, options, and answers every single question. I never felt rushed and I certainly never felt like I was a number. He treated me with dignity and respect. What more could anyone ask for?
