"A pinnacle example of the "local comic book shop," The Hero House is a one-room store densely packed with a wide variety of comics and graphic novels, including new releases. Of particular note are the staffers, who are extremely knowledgeable about their stock, and are more than happy to help you locate anything specific, if they have it available. It is worth noting that the long comic boxes located on the upper shelves have all bagged and boarded comics, and many are priced appropriately based on their condition and rarity. For casual readers or serious collectors, there's definitely something for everybody here. Support small businesses!"

"Probably the best comic book shop in Indy. Huge place, always the widest and best selection of new and used comics, and the staff will know your name quickly if you visit with any sort of regularity. Highly recommended! Additionally, you can constantly find Magic: The Gathering and Pokémon card players in the side rooms at just about any given hour of the day. Absolutely something for everybody here."

"This comic book store is the bee's knees. They have a nice selection of comics as well as manga. I wish they carried Dragon Ball Z/Super T-shirts and hoodies though. The employees are polite and very knowledgeable and I sometimes just drop in to have a conversation with them about upcoming comics, movies and T.V. shows. I definitely recommend this place if you have never been there."

"If I ever considered getting a second home, it would probably be at Books A Million. As someone who needs the feel of paper books, having a place like this so close is just amazing and they have a wide range of genres like classical, newer and legacy fiction, biographies, nonfiction, and much more. You'd have to visit for yourself to see what literature draws you in. And they have some really fun pop-culture knickknacks, too."

"I used to go to this place religiously 1994-2003, but at that time that was the only place I knew with comics. There was a reason I quit going though....it because a less comic geek place and more mainstream place. everytime i went in there were kids.. like under 10 years old having fits about cards. it totally lost its comic book roots. I mean the Surfer lookin dude with a better-than-thou attitude behind the counter was always nice enough. though his demoner is kinda cold, either he acts like you doesn't know what your talking about or is uninterested. he was more worried about putting the free paper news into your sack than pulling whats on your pull list. It is the best place to get comics in kokomo dont get me wrong there but there is no real option."

"Have been here twice, and neither time was good. The first time, the only employee completely ignored us. We were actually debating buying something, but there was no price tag and we couldn't get any help--I actually went home and bought it online afterwards, as I was really interested in buying it. The second time, I went in to check the place out, didn't see anything I liked, left, and the employee sarcastically thanked me for my business. The only reason this isn't a one-star review is that both times I saw an item that I have never seen before, so they might have the rare thing you are looking for. If you want a good comic store in the area, go to BuyMeToys instead."
