Wonderful selection of coffee beans and loose tea. Coffee fans will love the smell as soon as you open the door! We were visiting our son who lives nearby and couldn't pass up the opportunity to visit and purchase some coffee and tea. The gentleman who helped us was extremely friendly. We will definitely be back again!

The staff strike an impressive balance of being friendly and quick making drinks. And, on top of that, the drinks are delicious! The cafe also has great cookies!

I seriously love this place so much. I am from VA, so I can only come here when I'm visiting, and so now, I do. Love the simplicity, the dim lights, the long tables, the quality of the coffee, the calm feeling inside, and the staff's straight-forward service.

I came here just because of the weirdly funny creative previous review. Any coffee shop that inspires a story like that must be pretty good. Did not disappoint! The barista was really nice and the coffee was great! It’s also close to the Union sq farmers market which is a plus. I’ll def come back. :)

beautiful space with great coffee, wifi, and lots of outlets. the best coffeeshop to work in i’ve found in this area. i almost don’t want people to know about it so it can be all mine! the other location of plowshares has equally great coffee and service, but smaller space. i recommend the ham and cheese croissants, and the mocha is the best i’ve ever had!
