We had Pure Confections make our Wedding Cake. We could not be more happier. The design was exactly as we discussed and tasted out of this world. Everyone wanted to know who made our cake. You made out special day even more special... Thank you Jesebel
Delicious tres leches! Passion fruit, guava are my favorite but they are all delicious. The best tres leches! I have also ordered from flavors and layers cakes as well and they are truly delicious. The pastry and caramel cremes are out of this world. This past weekend I ordered ‘cup-tails’ (cupcakes with a shot of whiskey) and they were amazing. They not only looked amazing and matched my whiskey/age to perfection theme, but they were to die for. The buttercream with a hint of dulce de leche does NOT taste like the usual buttercream (which at times can be a bit greasy and tasteless), flavors and layers buttercream is like no other. Everyone raved about the cuptails and said they were the best cupcakes they have ever eaten. The shot of whiskey was also the perfect opportunity to do the usual shot with the birthday boy in a non-traditional manner. Thank you flavors and layers for always providing the best product and service and being the highlight of every event (or just the highlight of anyone’s day).
This bakery feels out of place in New York City, in a lovely way. It’s very personal, like something you’d see in a small town, where someone sells baked items out of their home. At the same time, the experience was very professional from start to finish, from the ordering experience on the website to the nice pastry box the cookies came in. I got the macadamia nut cookies and they were fantastic. Generous amounts of white chocolate and macadamia nuts, and the cookies here are made to order so they smelled incredible, literally a few minutes out of the oven. I’d order from here again, I’m curious about a few of their other items. Seems like this would also be a nice gift for a lover of baked goods.
We were looking for a baker to make some very special cookies for our sister's baby shower - and no one could have catered this event other than Sim. Her attention to detail on every single cookie, knack for the most delicate yet beautiful designs, and ability to make sweet treats is unparalleled. Not only were her vanilla almond cookies an absolute sight to admire, they were also absolutely delicious!!! We simply loved them. On top of everything, Sim went above and beyond to make the most intricate cupcake toppers. We were truly blown away and in awe when we received our shipment :) The amount of love that Sim puts into EACH and every one of her cookies, cakes, and cupcakes shines through. Thank you for making our family's event so special, Cococasa Kitchen!!! Incredibly professional, so tasty, and an absolute pleasure to work with on every level - you deliver the best quality treats in New York. Loved every bite!
Cake and Arrow made a perfect birthday cake for my daughter. She wanted simple pink frosting all over with white frosting scalloped decoration around the edge and Shari fulfilled her request perfectly. The cake was delicious (chocolate layer cake with frosting between the layers - yum!) and the cake was so generous we were able to share a big slice with the table next to ours at the restaurant. Shari is a pleasure to work with and we will be ordering again.
People are great and the Italian subs are worth it
Ordered some cookies and cake for an office party. The pistachio cardamom was one of the best gluten free cakes I've had and the salted caramel was AMAZING. Grabbed a latte when I went to pick up and the guy working there was super sweet and helpful. Excellent all around!!
There vegan avocado chocolate wafer ice cream sandwich was amazing really yummy!! So happy they had vegan options!!!! Omg and the delivery was fast and packed in ice❤️
CMNY did the cake for the grand opening of my medical practice! Such a stunning cake and delicious!! Thanks Mona!! You were such a great collaborator.
I cannot say enough good things about Dulce Cakes. I worked with the baker/owner Markela and she was fabulous. We wanted something different/special for our wedding cake -- an Italian flag cookie or "Rainbow" cookie theme. Believe it or not, it was SO HARD to find a bakery that could make a "Flag Cookie Wedding Cake". Multiple Italian bakeries turned us down (they were only willing to do small cakes or sheet cakes only) Thankfully we found Markela! She did the most DELICIOUS AND GORGEOUS cake -- red, white and green layered Marzipan sponge with raspberry jam filling and chocolate ganache frosting! She even added fresh flowers in our wedding color palette. It looked so beautiful. She sent me a photo of our cake the morning of the wedding, which was so nice. It really made me relax to know the cake was gorgeous and ready. It was delivered to our venue no problem and everyone LOVED IT. People couldn't stop talking about how it was the best wedding cake they EVER had. I agree! What a dream experience and dream cake! (below is the cake the day of and the morning after when we ate more!)
I still can't fully comprehend how perfect our wedding cake was. I work for a specialty food company, so I'm a huge foodie and wanted a wedding with excellent food and dessert. Carmela and Brandon (owners) alleviated all anxiety and delivered a cake beyond amazing. We had the Dear Dublin flavor which was super moist and flavorful. I'm marrying into an Irish family, so everyone approved of our flavor choice! I had my wedding at a unique venue (operating hard cider mill) and the cold room that I originally wanted to display the cake in was full of cider. I immediately contacted Carmela who responded within minutes assuring me that they would find a good place for it. They sure did! It was out of the way but still on display for all to see. The process to create the cake was fun- Carmela asked to see a picture of my dress, bouquet, and centerpieces. She created the most beautiful sugar flowers that several of my guests asked if they were real...and when I told them they were sugar, they couldn't believe it. Our first dinner as a married couple was apple cider donuts and a slice of leftover cake!! I will always remember that cake and I'm excited to eat another slice on our 1 year anniversary! Thank you so much Loveletter Cakeshop!
Received these petite fours as a hostess gift... absolutely delightful! They were moist, fresh, and delicious. We also enjoyed the diamants very much!
Lady Wong has earned a special place in my heart and belly (I’ve been here 3 times in the past month)! From kuihs to cakes to pastries, its treats are consistently delightful in taste and presentation. I wish I could describe everything that I’ve tried, but I’ll have to settle for my favorites… Tiramisu: not a traditional tiramisu, yet one of the best I’ve ever had! The pandan cream is light, smooth, and velvety. The lady fingers are soaked in brown sugar and rich in flavor. It’s REALLY good. Cake: I’ve only had the calamansi so far, but I love it! Tangy, tropical passion fruit curd sandwiched between light vanilla cake and smooth coconut buttercream. I haven’t come across this combination anywhere else and it’s delicious. Kuih: the kuih has a firm yet buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. It’s subtly sweet, which makes it perfect as a light afternoon snack. I’d recommend the talam pandan which tastes somewhat like “sweet matcha” and “brown sugar boba.” Overall, Lady Wong has an upscale interior but reasonable prices. It offers beautifully crafted desserts with flavors not typically found in the East Village. The owners are incredibly kind and attentive: they’ve always been happy to answer my questions, and, on my last trip, they even noticed that I was a repeat customer and let me sample a new item! A trip to Lady Wong’s has never failed to brighten my day. You can rest assured that I’ll be visiting again :)
Always a great pleasure to pick up our Crepes Cake at Lady M in NYC to celebrate any special events with Friends or Family!! Mawa & Juan Carlos did an awesome job to serve us!
What a find on the west side. This tiny spot here is going to be like kryptonite. I had the salted caramel banana pudding which was excellent balance of flavors. Also had the chocolate chunk cookie. Both were sizable portions and over filling. I also had a coffee that was strong yet didn’t pair well with my sweet choices. There so many other desserts to try I will HAVE to be stopping in regularly to try them all!!!
We walk fifteen minutes to come here for coffee. Past a LOT of other coffee shops because the staff is wonderful, it’s cozy and warm and one of those neighborhood places that truly feels like a slice of New York. The coffee is good. The sweets are incredible. The chai latte is my favorite sweet delight. Plus sometimes you’ll find these handsome guys there.
Excellent service. Delivery came exactly on time, cravings cupcakes were all very delicious and made my girlfriend extremely happy for her birthday! Highly recommend, will use again.
Artisnal ice cream with unique flavours. The Ube and tea flavours should no be skipped. Too many times has Ube tasted too artificial, but this was truly some of the best Ube desserts I've ever had. Also approved by a pinoy friend! They actually got my order wrong, but we're kind enough to give it to me for free along with my order. The croffle was also a treat, the perfect vehicle for ice cream if you have a bit more of an appetite. The bubble tea itself is unremarkable; come for the ice cream!
Absolutely amazing place, all desserts are very nicely done, baking goods are great, macarons are perfect! Highly recommend to try if you live or visit the neighborhood! I’m writing this review while eating crusty and buttery, and properly caramelized Kuign Amann(the one you should definitely try). I’ve been waiting for such a place to be opened in UWS for years! With french sophisticated desserts and baking goods high quality. The truth is, being a pastry chef by myself I can say - there are not many good pastry shops in NYC in general. And I’m happy, I don’t have to go all the way down to Dominique Ansel to get a nice Kuign Amann or to Laduree to get a good macaron. It’s all finally right here, in the heart of UWS! As the first reviewer here, I hope my neighbors will find out about this place very quick and in a year or so we would have more Delice Macarons locations around! Come before 2pm on the weekend if you want to catch full menu! And take a few macarons with whatever else you are taking, you won’t regret!
