Buddhist Temples near me in Chicago, Illinois, US.

"A breath of fresh of air. Very beautiful center with even more impressive practitioners to match. I'm a former resident of The Austin center in Texas (another awesome center) and have visited other centers across the U.S. I no doubt have been inspired to meditate more due to this center and the people who run it in this wonderful Windy City!"

"Great English language zen meditation program lead by Paul on the 2nd floor starting at 10am on Sundays, the entrance is on the side of the main building off of the parking lot"

"Attend several functions at this center. It radiates peace and calmness. Jennifer who did qi gong healing exercises on a Wednesday nite was absolutely marvelous. Don't know why qi gong works don't know how but it's way better than some things Western doctors have done to try and help me get healthier. The time before Asian New Year is especially magical at this location. Of all the places to be hindered by Covid this is the last place that should be closed. The true practioners are gentle of spirit and everyone I encountered was gracious. May they enjoy happiness and the root of happiness. Namaste"

"I love this place to pray especially for Chinese New Year. Beautiful and clean Monestry. Outdoor Quin Yin Goddess to pray with fish pond. After pray they hand me out red envelope and flower. Head of the Nan speak English and give me some Buddhist meditation books. They also offer Vietnamese food for prayers and visitors. All are friendly. Please don’t forget to donate as an appreciation. I recommend you to visit there."

"The Center is beautiful. I'm from Milwaukee and we had to shut our center down temporarily. Because of this, I truly wish to visit the Center in Chicago. Not only are the members cheerful, bright and welcoming, they have the bookstore and I have been able to meet other members from other areas there. The center is truly a bastion for Kosen Rufu. Thank you very much."

"Went to the temple with my exchange son from Thailand. The people were super friendly, the temple was impressive and educational. They even have a school for children to learn Thai. Thank you to the people who were there, for allowing us both the opportunity!"

"MWBT or Midwest Buddhist Temple offers the Chicago Community a place to learn pray and celebrate. The Japanese Temple is open to everyone and I was lucky to be in town during a three day Ginza festival. I was impressed with the organization and quality of the event. Parking is not easy but welcome to Chicago it’s a safe place to walk and beautiful neighborhood just down the street from old town. I’ve been here for sad times and for celebrations. I look forward to see the Buddhist temple keep giving back,"

"I have been raving about this place since , I attended a Town Hall Meeting in the Spring . Then , I helped (Dishwasher) at their Summer Festival ,on Father's Day this Summer . Well , no one was around and I decided to do a little Impromptu Modeling (Vogue) after shopping . And these pics are the result , I asked a stranger to take them (A Frenchman) whom was obliging !"
