Fine establishment that’ll make you feel right at home with one of the most impressive cocktail menus I’ve seen. The owner is highly skilled in both mixology and masonry which I found to be a nice touch! He built the whole bar himself and serves the cocktails, hard to beat! Big Dog’s is a west side staple.
Came here to celebrate my birthday with my family. Our waitress Yenny was nothing but pleasant and professional. I enjoyed my time and would def recommend this spot to anyone. The music is also really good.
We came here for the pulsd dinner for two deal and it was SO worth it! A full bottle of wine, starter, and two entrees - all of which were awesome. Our server, Starlin, was also so personable and helpful as we figured out our order. We especially appreciated that they brought seared rosemary with our grilled entrees at our table - such a cool and lovely experience overall!
We made reservations for dinner and our experience was amazing. J. Jara took care of us and he really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food was delicious and the presentation was great. The drinks were exquisite too. I truly recommend this restaurant.
Delicious! Went on a quiet Wednesday night, and it was soo good. Biggest onion rings you've ever seen. The veggie burger (made of vegetables and not pretend meat, hallelujah!) was divine, the crispy melted cheese thing in it was gorge. also full marks for the buttermilk chicken sarnie. Also shout out to the disco bathroom. I just loved it all! Just wish we had had room for the bourbon float dessert 😋
A wonderful little place that is off the beaten path. . Or is it??? Can there be an off the beaten path in NYC??? Amazing French onion soup... like the people who work here are from France??? A great outdoor seating section and the inside is pretty cool. Great staff that is very friendly, and knkws the menu well!!! The music is great and we were in fir a special treat as a"regular" was at the bar and man could he sing. What a truly great experience.
The experience at Gray Hawk Grill was one of a kind. We had two different types of steaks, frites and strip, both grilled to perfection. The waitress, Bri, was very attentive to details and provided insight to menu options and even gave recommendations of outside menu specials. An overrall great dining experience.
glad to have finally visited this spot -- great neighborhood pub with a surprisingly extensive menu and great service. didn't try any of the actual food but if the cast iron brownie dessert is a barometer for the rest of the menu, i cannot WAIT to come back and try everything else!
Went here for happy hour for great value dishes and drinks. It was a great experience with friendly staff. Food came quickly as well. The portions were generous and tasty, especially the quesadillas and mussels. The kids loved the mozzarella sticks and dirty fries. If you are looking for comfort bar food, this is the place to go.
I went here every day for lunch when I served jury duty. What a find! Delicious BLT.
This is one of those reviews that you go back and forth in your head about writing because you don’t want the world to know and you want it all to yourself. Tomi Jazz is one of those places that you go to and it reminds you of why you love NYC so much. You arrive and have to ring a doorbell and an employee will come out and get you. When we arrived there was no line but we had to wait minutes. While we were waiting (on a Sunday evening in the snow!) a huge line formed behind us. The place inside is small and that’s part of what makes it special. The band was great, the food was incredible (!!!), and service was on point. I’ve eaten at a lot of Japanese places especially in this area, this place after the first visit goes to the top of my list.
Will definitely come back real soon!! Love everything about this place. Went there on Sunday night and it wasn’t busy so we could get a seat right away. Me and friend only tried Kimchi fried rice added steak, fried sweet potato and fried squid. All of them are yummy! Cocktails is also good. Their decor is interesting, chic and cozy. It’s a nice place to hang out with friends. Their food menu is interesting, want to try more so will definitely bring more people :)
Fun cocktails and live music with a relaxed atmosphere. We stopped for the pub & a cocktail and stayed for the atmosphere. Worth stopping for a moment. They have a stellar selection of whiskey including yellow spot and other pot still Irish whiskeys. The greeters and bar staff were friendly and gave impeccable service. We’ll definitely go back if we’re in the area.
I had to be in the city for the weekend and was craving steak. I knew in time square finding an affordable and tasty steak was gonna be difficult but Yard House made it possible! I got a huge delicious steak for a reasonable price. Our server was great and so were the drinks. I'd definitely go back!
We came here for restaurant week and got what was on the menu for that and it didn't disappoint. Although it was definitely less than we thought it was going to be, it was a good tasting for an introduction to the restaurant. We ended up also getting the thick cut tenderloin which was very delicious and well prepared in front of us by the waiter. It seems like this place specializes in wagyu so that's what we'll get next time we come back. Overall a really good experience.
Low-key neighborhood spot with a very impressive beer selection. rotating taps with a good mix of breweries from NY state and beyond. Draft beers are typically served in a /oz glass but everything is also available in a oz crowler to go. s of cold cans and bottles to stay or to go, including a good selection of Belgian beers. The food menu consists of hot sandwiches, hot dogs and other typical beer bar snacks.
Fun bar with a great spirit. I’ve been frequenting The Waylon on Sundays for football games and have consistently had a blast each time. The bartenders are super friendly and the regular patrons are always super warm and always make you feel like your part of a bigger community. Not to mention, those cheese curds are a out of . If you’re looking for a low key spot with a dash of cheer make your way on over for good time. Pro tip: Definitely try one of their Bloody Mary’s — they’re outrageously good!
Another great spot I stumbled on to! The food was TOP NOTCH! Like so good. Highly, highly recommend if you want a quick bite.
Simply delicious Mediterranean food with great flavor and textures, reasonably big portions, slightly upscale price (entrees at approx ), both indoor and outdoor seating, and a pretty decent wine collection. Our favorite dishes were the Moroccan fish (great fish and couscous), mushroom hummus (a delightfully delicious twist) and Israeli eggplant (breaded and amazing). The beet malabi was also really good with a nice rose flavor with tons of coconut and pistachio on top. Definitely recommend.
