Here is a review from an user.
Great value and awesome taste, the Hainanese chicken rice here is “SECOND TO NONE“ in the city. The chicken texture is silky and tender like tofu, with almost perfect proportion of fat and lean meat. The house-made ginger sauce nicely highlights the umami of the chicken flavor. The white pepper radish chicken soup that comes with the combo is also hearty. If you come in a group and want some variety, this well-maintained hole-in-the-wall place also offers other authentic yet affordable dishes. No wonder why it has gained such population despite the humble interior deco. Would highly recommend everyone to try.
Delicious food and ready on time for pickup! I especially enjoyed the Sesame Tofu, the sauce is super good and the tofu’s texture is great. Wish I had the recipe because my tofu never comes out like this LOL ! My mom had the Chicken & Broccoli, and she liked it a lot. The veggie spring rolls were nice and crispy. Also just a heads up that the veggie dry pot is spicy (even at the regular level), so if you have a low tolerance, just be aware of that. Overall great lunch spot with friendly staff :)
Awesome seafood centric place with Asian flavors. My waiter was very attentive and nice without being too annoying like in some places. They have plenty of bar seating next to the bar and window and several tables inside and outside. The interior is very cute and tasteful. I went for 1$ happy hour and had a dozen of oysters + seaweed salad and 2 drink which came around $ total. It was very delicious and great quality.
Best asian I ever had. The Korean and Mongolian beef are a must. Order all the dim sum menu also. The beef noodle soup is great too. The owner cooks great and was very kind to us.
Taiwanese beef noodles was very delicious. The broth is a darker brown and have a hearty beefy flavor to it. They added some extra herbs and spices such as salted vegetables and coriander to get another layer of flavor. Good amount of tender beef and vegetables. The pan fried dumplings were juicy despite being fried. Ingredients like shrimp was fresh.
This is a hidden find in UES. We decided to dine in on a Sunday and there were no other patrons in the venue. The service and food quality did not disappoint!! 1. Pork soup dumplings - love the presentation and how each comes in a serving bowl so it captures all the soup! 2. Chive and pork pan fried dumplings - good but nothing to write home about 3. Crispy scallion pancake with shredded duck - the outter cake was a warm crispy perfection. They were generous with the duck portions too! I’ve never had this kind of dish before! 4. Beef and asparagus lunch special which comes with a house salad and soda for only $! The staff was courteous and friendly. We didn’t have to wait very long for the food. Everything tasted really good! It is the restaurant’s 2 year anniversary so there’s a % discount through //!!
Such good food and came extremely hot and nicely packaged. Highly recommend the ribs, which basically melt in your mouth. The dumplings were delicious too! I’m eager to try the Philly cheesesteak egg roll, but it sells out quickly. Will definitely order again! You can order directly on their website
Surprisingly authentic food in an unexpected place. I came in expecting some americanized Chinese food, but the Americanized food is also done quite well too; probably the best beef and broccoli I've had in the city. The prices are also really cheap, and the owners are very kind and welcoming. I couldn't recommend this place enough! Pictured below: beef and broccoli, orange chicken
Teeny tiny counter with south east Asian eats from the folks behind Laut, barely 2 stools, so probably best for takeout. Visited during soft-open, the staff was very friendly and chatty. Got the Api Api burger, nicely fried chicken with some pickle and pineapple, but they forgot the shrimp chips. Sounds like they are planning to open a tiny speakeasy upstairs too.
It's a newly opened small hot pot The decoration is superb and the trotters are also delicious Found that there is no Google map, I built one Support the restaurant industry during the epidemic 是一家新开的小火锅 装修的超棒的,猪蹄也不错吃 发现没有Google map,给建了一个 支持一下疫情期间的餐馆业
Thought we were eating at a new spot but this is the same restaurant by Elizabeth center, just moved locations. The server recommended me the ginger pork over rice and it was very good. Tender meat and savory sauce.
Really good sushi and other food available. Everything very fresh and high quality for a reasonable price, with big portions.
I stopped by with some friends and it is the cutest little shop. We ordered a kimbab and a tofu sampler which was so yummy. The bulgogi kimbab had a really nice flavor and the portion was good. The tofu sampler is perfect for trying the different flavors. Our favorite has to have been the bulgogi, chicken, pork, and then egg. The owner was also very nice. I think that this is the perfect place for a quick bite with friends.
Super fire Thai place! I wish I had found this shop sooner. It’s a small hole-in-the-wall relatively easy to miss. It’s take-out only due to the shop’s size but they have seating outside. The restaurant seemed authentic and you can get a few different noodles and fried rice dishes. The flavors of the drunken noodles were amazing! The oil and basil with whatever seasonings used were perfect. Much better than the handful of other Thai places I visited. The tofu is (by default) softer instead of crispy so you may want to mention crispy tofu if that’s your foretaste. You can customize the spice level, I thought medium was perfect and I usually eat spicy foods. The ice cream was also sooo good, it tasted like thai iced tea boba! Go here if you love Thai food!!
I have been going here for 8 years and I am always impressed by the chicken teriyaki. The recipe remains the same after all this time and it’s simply perfect. The food is so warm, it feels very welcoming. I truly can’t express enough good things about it in words, but back when I attended middle school I told everyone about this location and everyday, the line during lunchtime was out the door. Also, the owner is so friendly and pleasant! They do close early but that shouldn’t stop you from visiting :)
Extremely good fish! Look at how thick my slices of yellowtail were! Extremely flavorful, fatty and the sushi rice was perfectly made and seasoned. Definitely coming back to this place for more!
Amazing neighborhood gem! Modern, creative, and extremely tasty Korean cuisine tucked away in the East Village. Tried nearly the entire menu and it was all incredible!! Special shout-out to the corn dumplings, wagyu spring rolls, and gumbo! Prices are good too, and the service was promptly and attentive. Mokyo cannot be recommended enough!!
We were craving for Korea food and Me Mista Oh popped up with few but wonderful reviews. The decor is modern and bright with artsy furniture & cozy ambiance. The staff was super friendly and introduced their dishes in details. We visited on Halloween and they wore the costume from Squid Game, which was amusing. There was also the sugar game from the drama available, and if customers clear the challenge, they can get free soju. The options on the menu weren’t in a huge variety but pretty decent with signature dishes. We had Galbi which came with rice & soup and Seafood Pancake to share with a group of two. The portion was great and we even did some take-out for our next meal. Their BBQ was amazingly delicious, well-grilled, tender and super juicy. The pancake was also decent with plenty of ingredients. Our only complaint would be their complimentary sides because the flavor was not really our type.
Had lunch here several times and this is now one of my regular go-to lunch spot. It is lot cleaner and more organized than typical Chinese restaurant and their menu feels little more unique/authentic than usual American style Chinese cuisine. (ie: General Tsu, Kung pao etc) So far my fav is crabmeat rice and mala pepper beaf. Crabmeat rice has very rich flavor with seafood taste in it and it goes amazingly well with white rice. But it really might not be a thing for someone who is sensitive to seafood smell, so be careful. Mala pepper beaf is “cold” beaf appetizer which betrayed my expectation in positive way. Its spicy flavor is not overwhelming, just right amount, and I love the texture of the meat which is well supported by sesame mixed on it. It is very pleasing to munch this appetizer.
