Romantic atmosphere, delicious food, excellent drinks - everything I’ve heard it was and more! I cant wait to come back! We had the duck breast, chicken with brandy sauce and the fanciest grilled cheese ever! We also had the Red tide, old fashioned, and an espresso martini 🍸 We went for my loves birthday and it was just splendid. I am simply over the moon for over the moon cafe!
Michael, our server, was extremely attentive and kind! The food was excellent, with a nice happy hour menu and full dinner menu there is plenty to pick from. I thought it was cool that the Old Fashions are on tap. I would recommend making a reservation, as even at 4pm on a Thursday it filled up very fast! The peel-able shrimp were tasty with a Cajun feel to them. The marinara on the cheesy bread was excellent and a little tangy. I loved the Spring Salad, it was refreshing and had the perfect portions to get flavor in each bite. Will definitely come again!
This place was recommended by another restaurant staff at place we dine at quite a bit. Pretty good place to start for a recommendation. There’s only street side parking and that can be a little tough but it’s worth it. The service was great, friendly. The place is not small but close and cozy. The food varies with availability but it’s hard to imagine that they don’t make the best of what’s available on a weekly basis. We had the Mac and cheese gnocchi— fantastic! We also had a fresh beet and squash salad— great. Main courses of an earthy broth sturgeon dish and a parsnip dish with risotto. I know, parsnips, but it was really good. Good wine selection too.
Loved this place! The food and drinks were great. To start the night we ordered margaritas, we kept ordering after that because they were great! We ordered the Kamikaze seared Ahi and it was amazing. The best shrimp and grits I’ve had. The ambience was chill. Definitely recommend
Always a great option for live entertainment. Tacoma Comedy Club books top tier talent. Brad Williams however is a must see. Track him down and go see him, he is an amazing entertainer with cutting edge comedy. I look forward to seeing him as soon as I can again. This club is well run. I have enjoyed many evenings here happy and truly fulfilled with the high level comedians that roll through Tacoma. 🌄
My friend brought me here for dinner Saturday night and all I can say is AMAZING! The drinks, food, and the service was impressive! Summer, our bartender was so sweet and personable, we never waited for anything! Definitely will be a favorite spot from now on!
Nice little gem in Tacoma. Love the vintage vibes inside the restaurant and the eggs benedict was spot on. Hash browns were burnt, but not drenched in oil which was nice.
I’m always on a quest to try flautas from different places. Was very impressed with these ones! Crunchy shell but not too hard, savory filling, and the fresh toppings really added some interesting zest! Never would think to put pineapple on top but it was delicious together. Definitely have to come back and try other dishes!
These were the BEST chicken wings I have EVER had. No joke, I am legitimately surprised that this place is not packed with people. The place is in a sketchy location, but let me tell you..... SO WORTH IT! Get the fish sauce chicken wings!
Great food, great service. Healthy delicious dairy free options. I love the Thai bowl! Definitely more than two servings of deliciousness.
My husband and I came here for a night out to get some drinks and have an amazing evening. The staff was absolutely amazing! The most heartwarming thing… as a dog mom… I was touched by how they support local dogs. Sanitation was on point Friendliest staff #supportlocalbusiness
This food is some of the best I’ve had in Tacoma. I dream about the fried plantains and fresh juice. I ordered their chicken platter and everything was fresh and delicious. Always look forward to getting food here.
Great place for breakfast or lunch! My daughter and I are the Eggs Benedict and Street Tacos. We truly love our drinks. Blackberry Mule and Blackberry Mimosa. Super friendly staff and service was fantastic!
It was my first time at this restaurant, my daughter was talking about it so much, so she took me for lunch, place was clean and well maintained, nicely designed with great customer service since beginning and up to the end, our server was very informative and very helpful, I got dish of the day, lasagna oh, it was very delicious with amazing tomato sauce, my daughter's dish was perfect I tried hers and I love it, chicken was so tender and tasty, and... desert oh my God they were so good oh, so we had bites and rest we took home. We had amazing time and we definitely going to come back, I have to try dinner too 🤗, thank you
Amazing! The staff were all friendly (minus one server who didn't talk, just showed up to the table with neat and didn't tell us what kind it was 😅). Our waitress was so sweet and knowledgeable! The front desk was friendly as well. The food.... oh my god. I left in a food coma. All the meat was seasoned and cooked to perfection! The sides at the bar (sautéed mushrooms, scalloped potatoes, etc) were also equally amazing. It's pricey, but well worth the price for what you get!! I will definitely be going back!
AMAZING! got the top sirloin, tomahawk steak, creme Brule! Was absolutely delicious 😋 took some time for the food to come out. BUT! Well worth the wait 🥰 I'm in love for real. Staff was AWESOME! we had Tiffany as our waitress. And after they stopped cooking the head chef was walking around asking the customers how the food was 😁 again amazing experience 👌
Great experience with a large party! Our party of went in around 7: pm on a Friday night. We were seated quickly, and the service was excellent. Drinks were great, recommend the Mac & Jacks amber to anyone who likes a red or amber ale, all the food and appetizers were fabulous. We did the giant pretzel and pimento dip for appetizers. Just enough for the of us with a good balance of bread, dips, and veggies to start. We ordered a mix of sandwiches, salads, and fish and chips for dinner, and everyone was happy with their choices. Salads were big for a side, everyone loved the thick cut French fries and tater tot options, and the lobster bisque and French onion soup were wonderful. The atmosphere was comfortable and warm, and there were only a couple of TVs in the dining room which kept it feeling more like a restaurant than a sports bar. Fan noise from the games showing in the bar area came through occasionally, but it wasn’t too loud or distracting. Overall a great find for a reasonably priced (most dishes were around $) place to enjoy a meal with our family. Would totally go back when we are in the area again! ***We decided to go back two days later with another large group of family… this time. My original review holds up! They got us right in, and seemed genuinely happy to have us even though we had such a large party. Food was awesome though we had a couple mishaps with two of our items, but they were corrected and all was well.
It's a departure from usual restaurant bars on 6th. Has character, and for some it could be considered divey, but in general is not. There's outside seating in the back with a mini palm tree, plenty of pinball games, pool table, skee ball, couple other shooting games. The drinks were decent for 6th Ave too. The burger was really good with the prosciutto and portobello, and the Greek fries had a pretty good flavor that gyro places don't typically have. The prices aren't bad either. I will come back to the ave just for this place. Have heard that the later crowds can get a little dicey but I haven't experienced that yet.
So delicious, everything fresh and homemade, from the aguas frescas to the barbacoa! Enchiladas, soups, flautas, nachos, everything has been so good, every time! They do beef barbacoa, which is best when you get it with the consommé, which comes with garbanzos y arroz (chickpeas & rice!) There's also a fruit vendor outside on Sundays, with a sweet little selection of Mexican goods at the peak of ripeness. Support small! And do yourself a favor, check 'em out!
