Great little place, upstairs from Its Sugar. It is easy to miss the door if you aren't looking closely. We tried the alu momo, classic chicken momo, chicken rice bowl and samosas and shared them as a group so everyone could try all the dishes. They were all wonderful! Staff was great. Small selection of beers and wine. Warning: the small bottle of Badger Heat sauce that you can add is super hot!!
This very well may be the best Latin American food in the area. My party ordered Fried Tacos (5/5), Chicken Empanadas (4/5), Tajadas Con Pollo (3/5), and Grilled Descontrol (5/5). Our party overall absolutely loved the food, as summarized by the aforementioned ratings. The four of us ate about % of the food that came, and it was just over $. I can't imagine spending $ on four people and getting similar food anywhere else.
This was the first time we've eaten here and it did not disappoint. Our server Victoria gave us some great recommendations since we had not eaten here before. Portions are large. My husband got the scrambler which he really enjoyed. I tried the delicious buttermilk pancakes and apple coffee cake. Looking forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.
This place is my new favorite restaurant in Madison. Seriously, you MUST go here if you want the most delicious food in town. The arepas are AMAZING. If you want some appetizers, the empanadas are delightful. The people who work here are so friendly. This authentic restaurant is the best!
This place has AMAZING food! I can't wait to go back! Their bacon is thick cut, orange juice is freshly squeezed, and the Dutch Baby is highly recommended! The staff we had were so friendly. I really enjoyed this place.
Went here for dinner to celebrate my birthday, and the food and service was just phenomenal. We got the pork and tuna appetizer to begin with, and the tuna was so soft. What I liked the most was that the pork was skillfully cooked, soft in the mouth while maintaining that crunch. Not to mention, the flavors tasted exquisite. We also got the pork schnitzel and their white fish special and it was one of the best meals we have ever had. The schnitzel was not dry or overcooked and they paired it really well with their red cabbage. The white fish was so soft and the dressing or sauce that they used was just delicious. I am not a big fan of very sweet desserts, but their maple ice cream/pecan biscuit was the perfect finishing touch. The salted caramel was not too sweet and was not overpowering in sugar-ness with the maple ice cream and pecans. Would come back for another date night!
Wow. Wow. Wow. This was such an awesome experience. From the moment that Juan greeted up to the final plate coming out of the kitchen, everything was spot on. With an ever-changing menu, this small plates dining experience is new each time. Bring an adventurous pallette and be willing to step outside of your comfort zone to try new combinations you would never think of as your own. If you share, the portions will comfortably allow four people to try each dish. Like the portions, the space is on the smaller side so reservations are strongly recommended.
Had a really great experience there with my daughter. The food was very good, the service friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere welcoming and charming. The wait staff helped us order the right amount of food for the table, which was helpful as most of the shareable plates had an entree vibe. The drinks were great with tasty options with and without alcohol. Nice spirits lists as well. As for the food, the honey/garlic butter biscuit is a must. We also enjoyed the pasta carbonara and the steak with choron sauce.
Repeat customer who had a brilliant dinner a while ago, returned this week for another experience. The Tasting menu and wine pairing is a must…expensive no doubt but these people pull off the most magical dish creations with masterfully paired wines. Truly amazing experience. Even the vegetarian tasting dishes were imaginative, beautifully plated, and an explosion of flavors. Allow 2 hours to enjoy the experience.
Great find! Good variety of Venezuelan dishes.
I loved the truffle fries, great toppings on top of hot and crispy fries! The melting pot cheeseburger complimented it perfectly. The cheese combination works so well. It's no surprise this place has been popular in Madison for so long!
The best sushi place in town. Good place for date night. Good ambience with red color interior theme. Friday nights are busy. Recommended reservation. Chef's and waitress were friendly. Red signature roll is amazing. Mini explosion happening in our mouth for every bite. Ingredients were fresh. Food presentation is appetizing. If Someone wants to see the preparation and talk with chefs, then ask for chef's table. Waitress was friendly, and service was great. Window side, winter night, sangria and sushi - one of the best combo. Outdoor seating available. Main Entrance is inside a building whose entrance faces southeast. Wheel chair accessible. I will come back to this restaurant. And for sushi lovers I recommend visiting it.
Please don’t tel my Grandma, but these may be the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Both the OG blueberry and the buckwheat pumpkin spice melted in my mouth and were bursting with flavor. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was cozy, and I am happy.
Very cozy, food is spectacularly good. Great selection of beers on tap and excellent cocktail menu. Tonight I had a spicy peanut vegetable soup and blackened chicken sandwich, both were amazingly delicious.
If you're driving to the Dells or to Madison, you MUST stop here! Best breakfast diner ever! Cinnamon rolls are amazing. I've tried their crab cake eggs Benedict, salmon skillet, and steak n eggs. Hash browns were cooked perfectly, same with the fish and eggs. The food did not take long to get to our table. Coffee was good. The service is top notch and the owner is a cool guy. The prices are the same as any other reasonable breakfast/lunch diner. This place is located a bit out of the way and I've had to wait minutes to be seated, but I think it's well worth the time spent doing so. Eating a delicious breakfast while watching the airplanes travel around is the coolest thing ever. I will always visit this restaurant any time I go to Wisconsin.
Walk in front entrance, proceed to the bar and order a drink, receive your menus, wait for a waitress to take your order and seating will follow shortly after. A unique ordering process but with how busy they get I can see how it streamlines things for them. Good business management! The food and drinks are really well made using very fresh ingredients. My wife and I split the curds which were obviously frozen but super tasty non the less! She had the pike walleye and I had the shrimp and perch. We both agreed their fish tastes the freshest! Seriously though it tastes just like when you catch and fillet them yourself.... Hash browns were very buttery with a nice crunchy shell and a soft interior. Simply perfect. Salad dressing homemade and dangerously addictive. I reccomend the french blue cheese. Prices were fair and service was acute. Our wait time was about an hour and fifteen minutes before being seated. Plenty of time to hang out side with a drink and work up a bit of a buzz!
Always yummy! My boyfriend usually goes for the Mickey Burger which is a favorite, but decided to try the spicy caesar chicken wrap special this time and wasn’t disappointed. The chili was also delightful, as were the drinks. (They make a mean White Russian!) I got the Mickey Burger with a veggie patty and it was sooo good. They have a classic bean burger patty that goes really well with the fixings on the Mickey Burger, so I’d definitely recommend it to any vegetarians out there (or anyone else who’s curious!). Their Lonestar sandwich is also super yummy, and coming from someone who doesn’t like Dijon mustard that means a LOT lol. Would definitely recommend Mickey’s to anyone who’s looking for a good meal in an eclectic environment with kind staff. All in all, /
Cute diner with Northwoods vibe. Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices for large portions. We got the Cottage Platter and Build Your Own Omelette. Will come again.
Huge servings. Good flavor, awesome friendly staff.
Everything was so good. Try the cheese curds. I know every restaurant in Wisconsin has them, but these are the best. And try the old fashioned. The restaurant is literally named for them, and they did NOT disappoint. I got the chicken fried steak (I put the gravy on the side, but it normally comes on top), and loved it. I'd love to come back!
