"Forget about Franklin's or 2M. This place is the real deal and the best BBQ in central Texas, hell I'll even say Texas. I hate leaving a review because I wanna keep it a secret but these folks deserve everything good they get. Marcus and his team was beyond fantastic. We literally ordered one of everything. A few comments below on the food. And for BBQ rookies, don't show up at 4pm thinking there will be food. This is the real deal and they sell out early. Brisket was flawless with just enough smoke and good pepper. Had both moist and lean. Perfection. Pork ribs were exactly the way they should be. They pull away with each bite. I hate it when it falls off when you pick it up. Not here! Pulled pork was delicious. Their sauce has a perfect amount of vinegar to offset the pepper. Turkey was the family favorite. How they get it so juicy and tasty is beyond me but it's a winner. Sausage was as sausage should be. No makeup or dresses just damn good sausage. And finally the dino beef rib. If you're a pure beef fan, this is on your bucket list. Executed flawlessly and thick with pepper. Flavor for days. I'm literally sitting in the parking lot trying to figure out if I should just nap until I'm hungry again. Great Q, great people, great story behind the place. Get here yesterday and tell them I sent ya."

"This was my second time at this place and boy let me tell you they probably have the best ribs in Texas let alone San Antonio!!! The meat just falls off the bone and the smoked flavor is elite!!!"

"I tried to find the new location to put the review there however Ill have to settle for leaving it here. I love bbq, I always judge a place based on its brisket [the brisket is fantastic] however the turkey they do here in incredible. Everything I have had from Marcus' establishments are wonderful. He is wonderful as well, you can tell not only by the way he talks but by the taste of the food that he puts his heart into his cooking. If your out driving the hill country make sure to stop at the new location on in pipecreek."

"I had; 2 meat plate. Brisket Pulled pork Mac and cheese Brisket was over cooked and dry. Pulled pork was good but not memorable. Mac smush overcooked noodle & powdered water flavored white cheese. It's sad to say that you get better stuff just walking into HEB. I tried 1 of the ribs my friend got and it was like ham flavored jerky. The potato salad was like potato salad that's never seen yellow mustard or mustard of any kind or salt or seasoning. Person who served us very nice great employee that extremely timely. Hopefully we're just a phenomenon that had a bad Sunday batch."

"Was great. Had Brisket and Pulled Pork with side of Mac and cheese. Meat was so fresh and tender. Sausage was nice and fresh too. Definitely recommend. A lil pricey but real good."
