"The view, the view, the view. I visited this restaurant for a business meeting and just amazed at the view the whole time. As a vegan it was difficult to find something exciting but the vegetarian option of stuffed pepper was made vegan for me and it was good. Would I come here for leisure, no. However, the service and the people are great. It was a good place for a business visit. The shishito peppers were spicy."
"My husband and I had our wedding reception here. Gifted by my grandma’s best friend. The view is spectacular and we always get treated very well. Since our wedding, my grandma has passed away. So we meet Margot(grandma’s bff) at Tom Ham’s every month or so for lunch. She is well known there, so my husband and I always get the best treatment. Easy to find San Diego landmark restaurant. Dress up, or casual. They have brunch on Sundays. With a variety of different food. They don’t have vegan options listed but if you’re creative, you’ll get by. They have good salads, French fries, fruit with sorbet for dessert if you’re a vegan, and in a bind. Margot and my husband always get the fried calamari and clam chowder soup. Great drinks. The bar tender always makes me something fancy, even though it’s a virgin drink. Margot always has a blast there. Bring a camera for some awesome photos inside and outside the restaurant. It sits right on the San Diego Bay overlooking the water. The sailboats go by on warm sunny days. There’s also historical favorites downstairs. Plenty of parking with handicap spaces in front."
"Came here for a late Lunch on a Friday afternoon. Heard about the amazing views and was not disappointed. We were seated quick, service was great. My bf and I split a Caesar salad and the seafood platter. I have to say this is the first time we did not have a complaint about something on a seafood platter. Everything was delicious. Will be coming back again."
"A great experience! We walked over to the restaurant from our nearby Hilton hotel and arrived without a reservation. The hostess was very accommodating and sat us outside, as we requested, at a corner table with incredible views! There were heaters along the aisle which made it very comfortable as it was February and a little chilly. Our first course, the cheese plate appetizer, was delicious and our meals very tasty and plentiful. The server was super engaged and attentive, she even invited us to walk over to a "favorite photo spot" on the deck at sunset to take our picture. We endulged in dessert as well, ordering the Cinnamon Apple Crumb Cake, Creme Brulee and New York Cheese Cake with Strawberries. All were wonderful! Although meal prices were $+ which is a BIG splurge for us, we left full and satisfied and we highly recommend if your around Harbor Island to give it a try!"
"Great view, friendly service, and good food at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse Restaurant. I made a reservation for Valentines Day and we were given a table with a great view of San Diego. The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us and checked us in. We were ushered to our table in no time. The staff who took our order made sure the appetizers and my kids’ meals arrived promptly. This made our dining experience pretty amazing. Kudos to the chef, staff, and everyone in the kitchen. Normally on a busy day like Valentines, you would expect slower service since there are a lot of diners. We were blown away by the service we got. My family will definitely be back!"
