Awesome place for all things BBQ! If you like a cubano sandwich you will not be disappointed! And the servings are quite generous for the price, so come with an appetite!

The ribs were fantastic, the brisket was good and the mashed potatoes and gravy were fantastic. The sausage was ok. The bbq sauce was the only one kind and very strong vinegar tasting, I didn't like it.

These guys know BBQ. As soon as you walk in, the BBQ smoke smell hits you and you know you’re in the right place. I had the pork shoulder plate. It came sliced instead of shredded which I wasn’t expecting, but the slices were juicy and the fat was reduced perfectly. Great bark and rub. The mac and cheese and cornbread were my favorite sides. The cole slaw was sweet and also very good. No beer on tap, so we had coke in glass bottles instead which was fine. We dined in - there are 3 booths and a few seats at the counter. We loved this place enough to take some smoked sausages and corn bread to go (both of which came cold as they reheat better this way). Check this place out. You won’t regret it.

Pick the Pig, it's a squealing deal!(sorry) The bbq smoke seeps into every corner of this dining diamond. The ambiance subtly screams amazing bbq joint and the food echoes that. We ordered a variety of meats and sides and everything met the expectations you'd have, but the chicken thighs surprised us. They featured a crunchy bark with deep flavor and juicy interior and the Pig serves thighs with a Jalapeño Jelly with sweet spicy junks of jalapeños.

Great bbq joint with a really cool old school atmosphere. The brisket was great. The pork shoulder was great also, although I was expecting more of a pulled pork instead of slices. Much better than any other bbq I've been to in Portland. I have family in Texas so I've been to Black's, Kreuz's, Franklin's, real deal Texas bbq joints. For an Oregon spot this place stands up to them. The only 2 things about it I'd change are adding Shiner beer to the menu and changing the sauce. The sauce has cumin in it and it just didn't work for me. Too citrusy and bright. Would be much better served replacing the cumin with coffee or something with that dark flavor to compliment the meat better. Who cares about the sauce though? Good bbq doesn't need any and this spot definitely has good bbq.
