I wish all the agents could be friendly. The state should make customer service important. We are already stressed hoping we have all the right documentation. A smile and helpfulness would go a long way.

If you don't know; it's by appointment only I didn't. So I made a trip to renew my DL only to find out I couldn't. But it gets better, the person in front of me cancels their appointment; so logically I ask for the slot; which of course I can't be put into. No reason of course I just can't. I have take an appointment 3 weeks away. So now I have to hope nothing comes up and I can make another trip to the DMV.

This is COMPLETELY unacceptable! We can't go to our local DPS Office unless we have an appointment which is 2 months out. We finally get an appointment only to be told they cannot help us, we have to contact the DPS in Austin directly. We call the Texas DPS in Austin, go through multiple menus, then chose the option to speak to a Customer Service Representative, only to be told there is no one available to take our call, CLICK! This message is given regardless of what day or what time of day we call! What kind of a useless agency is this??? It's illegal to drive without a license yet we can't even speak to anyone to get the issue resolved to get a drivers license. This is government inefficiency at it's worst!

Absolutely garbage. I’ve been trying to get someone on the phone for over a week. I’m so glad the government takes 26% of my hard earned money to send me through an automated system that is completely broken. Trash is an understatement. Unless you want to give them money, you’re out of luck. CALIFORNIA is easier to navigate.
