Place is trash. My very well behaved kids have eaten in the nicest restaurants in Houston and beyond and they are not allowed at this establishment. Not talking about on a Friday or Saturday but on a Wednesday!! How many people were dining at this sub par excuse for a Houston establishment??? 1 person. Hope this policy really gets you to where you need to be.

From the friendly, kind response when we called to see if we could bring our service dog, to the great welcome when we arrived this was sooooo good. The food was absolutely delicious, authentic and awesome, definitely our new favorite indian restaurant! The wine list too was excellent. Thank you thankyou, we will be back very soon, and bring our son who loves good Indian food.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was elegant. The service was beyond my expectations. They also gave us extra keema bread and shared with us their history of the hanging rug. It was a very charming experience overall.

I felt compelled to write a review about this place after reading peoples comments about receiving rude service. I have been treated graciously numerous times at this restaurant and their food is fabulous! Everyone I’ve introduced to Surya is equally impressed. The owner takes his food and service seriously and operates it like a fine dining establishment. There’s nothing worse than going out to eat and having the table next to you with a loud phone or child. This is a small, intimate dining experience. I cant help think those complaining had some part in their experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. Excellent food and service. For those wanting a noisy casual experience head to Tarka fast food.

We ordered chicken tika masala ($15) and chicken chilli ($15) and this is the portion of the food we received without any rice or naan. Called the restaurant to verify and they didn’t answer. Entree size is appetizer size and this is what you get for $32
