I never review because I know my experience could possibly be 100% different than the next person's but wow was the overnight person not pleasant at all. He was sorting out a delivery order so I waited patiently with my item (a big bag of chips) until he was done. When he was ready, I said "Hi how are you" and placed my item on the counter. He said nothing and snatched the item and rang me up. When the payment went through he just shoved the item back toward me. I said "if I could just get a bag please" I was half way expecting him to just hand me a bag. He didn't but still said nothing when he handed me the bag and I said thank you. I am always nice to people in customer service because I too am in customer service. The fact that my niceness was not returned really put me off.

NYC Section 518 of the General Business Law, which, in no uncertain terms, makes it illegal for merchants to charge extra if a customer wants to use a credit card. But the owner of "Superior Gourmet" Marketplace thinks he is above the law. Be prepared to pay illegal credit card fees. The only superior about this so-called overpriced "gourmet" market was the insults I received about my personality after spending almost $11 for an excessively high-cost smoothie. I was verbally attacked by the owner when I asked for my receipt as well as the explanation about the charges on it. Apparently, the store charges illegal credit card fees without a credit minimum or notifying. Another very odd thing on my receipt was the description of the product sold, "taxes"? I didn't know that the "Superior Gourmet "Market sells taxes instead of smoothies? Did you know? Check your receipt next time or think twice before buying anything from that not-so-transparent business. What are they hiding?

They have everything you can imagine. The food is super fresh and made right when you order. They have excellent customer service too. We came for dinner and breakfast and will come again if we get the chance.

Superior Gourmet was always open very early, and now it seems 24 hours. When I wake, it’s the only option in the neighborhood, so we’ve ordered from here more than a handful of times. Service is quick and well packaged. Unfortunately, the kitchen’s inability to follow instructions is becoming increasingly frustrating as it seems that the primarily American menu is being executed by those who don’t eat American food. For instance, I’ve asked multiple times to have “fresh jalapeños” added to my breakfast sandwiches only to bite into pickled peppers that make my eggs taste like pickles as well 🤢. This time around, my breakfast BLT didn’t include eggs (there’s also a regular BLT on the menu that’s most likely the same thing listed twice) and we asked for strawberries to be added to a smoothie and that request was completely disregarded. In summary, this place is consistently disappointing.

One thing I cannot stand is poor customer service! When a customer enters the store, you GREET them! Not stand around having side conversations with other employees and being on your phone. Greet the customer, make the customer feel appreciated and valued! Some people just don’t know common Courtesy
