Don't expect any help from the parts counter, they don't even know what kind of oil to put in the Allison transmissions that they claim to service...

Took my truck in for a transmission swap. I brought my own transmission so I did not have it under the warranty. They told me the truck was ready and good to go and even had paper work stating that it was "Tested drive and good to go". I paid the bill which was over the quote and took off. The ramp to get on the highway is real near by so i jump on the highway real quick only to discover the truck did not go over 20 miles per hour. I took the truck back after almost cause two accidents. They said my engine lack power and to take it to international to get fix. I did and international fix in under what the quoted but i still have the problem. We ask Stewart and Stevenson if they can look at it again under warranty and they said yes to bring it back again. We did and they said the transmission we brought them was the wrong one. They Didn't ordered it so we were not mad at them, But we had such a good experience with International and them beating them in price we decided to take it to I...

My second time at this shop,2 bad experiences both, many years ago, their shop in Dallas had to correctly diagnost and fix my Detroit engine, after they had "fixed it" here. Second time,I left my truck with them,a different truck, but a Detroit engine, they "fixed it" charged me 2,100 and some change,3 DAYS LATER,check engine came on in Michigan,I drove it for about 2 days after that,I thought I could drive it like so,I gad done it before, light comes on and off,NOT this time. Check engine was on,then stop engine came on,now I was in trouble, same codes as when I took the truck to these neanderthals, same symptoms. The engine wasn t regen ing, that was my problem, these parts swappers put new parts, not reaaly looking for the reason, cause, root of my problem. I paid 15,000.00 and some change, not including tow, meals and hotel....had these jokers gone deep and find the root of the problem, they would have saved me at the very least 5K dollars, I wouldn t have had to pay tow, hotels and meals in anothe...

They Didn't ordered it so we were not mad at them, But we had such a good experience with International and them beating them in price we decided to take it to International. Once we told Stewart & Stevenson that we will take our truck, only then they surprised us with a bill of about $ for just looking at the truck to tell us the transmission they installed was the wrong one and confirmed that it "was good to go" was the wrong one. After they installed wrong transmission and giving us a green light, you would think they would take a second look at it without charging? They never told us they would charge for re -looking at it. That left us with a bad taste and won't be taking our trucks over there again. Also, international discovered they not all the bolt on the torque converter was placed and the torque converter would of failed with driving. In summary, we experienced a lazy or inexperienced mechanic with a combined dishonest administrator."

The jokers swapped a few parts, forced a regen and voila, truck s fixed...never digging deeper to know why it wasn t regenerating...these people are useless to me,an expensive useless visit...may they go broke."
