"Overall delicious, but I would pass on desserts and drinks. Dim lighting and fun music. Parking is tough, $ valet is available APPETIZERS 5/5 Crispy Squash Blossoms - surprisingly unexpected spicy marinara, favorite 5/5 Calamari - cooked great, taste like regular calamari, squid ink only added color, no dipping sauces 5/5 Rice Ball - very crunchy, was delicious SIDES 5/5 Asparagus - I'm not a fan of this vegetable, but it was drenched in garlic and was delicious 5/5 Polenta - super creamy MAIN COURSE 5/5 Lasagna - great balance of pasta, meat, sauce, and cheese. Only criticism is that it was on the saltier side 4/5 Rigatoni DESSERT - presentation for both were fun; however, taste was not there 2/5 Italian Cookies - The 3 rainbow cookies were so disappointing and extremely dry (sadly, you are better off with grocery store rainbow cookies). 3 Biscotti's tasted stale. The best was the 2 pignoli nut, which was moist, followed by 1 wedding cookie 1/5 Zeppole - overcooked DRINKS - If you are the designated driver at your table, you qualify for a free soda/coffee 4/5 West Side Cocktail - messy drink overflowed onto the table 4/5 East India Cocktail 5/5 Restroom - 2 stalls, clean, stocked, and smelled good If you are the designated driver, ask the server to learn more about a free soft drink/coffee"
"Come here for some quality Italian food...just don't come expecting to eat like you're at your nonna's house. The plates can be small, and a bit on the pricey side but not too crazy. The crispy squash flowers were delicious, as was the clam linguini. I wouldn't order the chocolate panna cotta again though...kinda just tasted like jello chocolate pudding with hot chocolate powder on top. Also the service was ok, but not great. The staff seemed to want to rush you out of there, but I chalk that up to being busy with staff shortages as a lot of places have been struggling that with lately."
"Book ahead on Resy. We had the (Squid Ink)Fried Calamari, Prosciutto & Burrata, Lasagna, Chitarra, and the Black Truffle . The food all came out amazing, service was friendly, professional, and quick; A great experience over all."
"Modern Italian spot in Venice with dark, moody vibes. Street parking along Washington or in one of the residential neighborhoods. Credit cards accepted. Reservations accepted. Indoor and outdoor dining available. Gendered restaurants available in the back. There’s bar seating as well. It’s a good spot for a date night or to have a nice meal with the fam. I came here per the recommendation of a former colleague, who called this restaurant his favorite in the West side. Definitely get the squid ink calamari. The ink adds an extra level of saltiness, but it’s not overbearing. The meat was soft in the inside and the batter was lightly crispy. The pastas we ordered were all on the smaller side, but the pastas’ textures were top-notch. The rigatoni was my favorite, with a red creamy sauce. The cavatelli had Italian sausage and my dad really liked it. The linguini with clams was garlicky and also very creamy. The lasagne is a very heavy option, and you’re likely to have leftovers for this particular dish."
"I'm not even a fan of Italian food, usually. Scopa exceeds my expectations every time I go once in a blue moon. The food is fantastic, the whiskey selection is out of this world. Easily one of my favorite places to eat and all of Los Angeles."
