This is probably one of the most dysfunctional divisions in the entire County. You get a ticket number, wait hours and hours, and, in the end, may receive the information you will not be served until the next day. Their process is very confusing, servants are rarely friendly and you feel lucky when someone is able to help you. I have noticed that sometimes servants do not call your number not because they are engaging with other customers, but because they are “busy” answering personal emails, talking on the phone, playing online games, or simply chatting with their colleagues. Our community deserves better service.

We are underserved. I do not know what is wrong with the County’s employees, very eager to collect taxes; very unwilling to serve the community. If you need to build something, all you can expect is hours and hours of useless wait time, unfriendly civil servants and a very disorganized system. What’s wrong with San Diego? It’s a beautiful place; it deserves better government.

You may not get this very often with code enforcement officers but my experience with the 2 individuals, a code enforcment officer Nick and engineer code compliance grading division Alphonso were outstanding gentleman with great advice that was very beneficial! I am pleased to correct my mistake and clear it up maintaining county code rules. Thank you for the advice and understanding of my "lack of knowledge" and working things out with us. Excellent rating on these County employees

As with any dealings with County offices, there is always a lot of waiting to speak with someone. Best go as early as possible, and have your paperwork ready.
