My friend who just got a bike needed a new stem. We walked in and Ming showed us a handful and had what we needed, installed it and sold a few accessories to us and made our day! This is the way a bike shop should be run.

I did extensive research on bike shops in the area, and these guys have by far the lowest prices. Just bought two bikes from San Diego Bike Company downtown SD - both types under $750! Including the lower-entry model that is fold-able. Pedal-assisted, as well, and multiple height ranges. Highly recommend!

I called Paul on short notice to fix my handle bars after being hit by a car. He fixed it fast and friendly. He also examined the bike and found other issues he fixed. Lastly he inflated my tires and charged reasonably. I'll definitely go back as a Cortez Hill resident.

I went to this bike shop before going down the Baja Divide, and I just can’t recommend them for serious bike work. The staff were incredibly kind and friendly, and even let me store my bags there while I left home for Christmas (so 2 stars for that, you guys seem genuinely really nice). I got a call over Christmas saying I needed new brake pads, and they said they would replace them. I picked up my bike a few weeks later and started down the Baja divide. However, they brake pads were never replaced. But I didn’t realize this until it was too late. My brakes began failing on the Baja divide, and I had to ride 100 miles without my front brake. This was rather dangerous. In addition to this, I also asked them to check on a very slight grinding sound that was occurring near my back wheel. I didn’t know what it was. When I got my bike back and it wasn’t fixed, I kinda figured that it must’ve been nothing, or not a big deal. Well, I’m at a bike shop here in Mexico and it turns out my bear...

If you're looking for slightly cheaper, then this may be the route to go. Remember the old adage, "you get what you pay for". Paying the few extra bucks at a reputable Bike Shop will save you the headache of a damaged bike, extended wait times, and potentially dangerous malfunctioning of your bike due to incompetence of the people who you trusted. ☠️Beware - now it's time you be forewarned of the fraudulent activities you may encounter at San Diego bike shop. While purchasing items at San Diego bike shop, you may be given used items. The owner is aware of these activities and okay with these activities. I put my trust in this company and purchased an item I presumed was new. Unfortunately, my $4, bike arrived in a box with a different brand name on it. Subsequently this resulted in the bike being severely damaged. Through my personal experience I have learned that all of the negative reviews about this company should have been something I paid closer attention to. To protect others I felt compelled to share my review of San Diego Bike Shop. Good luck 🙏"

Well, I’m at a bike shop here in Mexico and it turns out my bearings in my hub had failed. Now I can’t blame this % on them and I should’ve actually checked on the work before heading out to the Mexican wilderness. But if you need serious bike work done in the San Diego area, I would look elsewhere!"
