"We chose this company because they offered us a “good deal” on a trex composite deck. We are first time homeowners and Bob posed to us that he was “helping out a young couple”. That is the exact opposite of what he did. This company tries to prowl on what they assume to be young and naive individuals. The communication was extremely poor. We were never given a in depth estimate(describing what would be done). We showed them a photo of what we wanted and they said they could do it. That photo included composite railing and siding that goes all the way to the ground. Initially, Bob inaccurately measured our square footage ft over what it actually was. We corrected him on the square footage and moved on with the job. We thought maybe it was an honest mistake until we caught him on our motion camera admitting that we had caught his measuring discrepancy that he had purposely made up to upcharge the job. After the job was started(and we had already corrected the measurements once) we came home to a deck /2 feet shorter than we agreed to. Once again, we had to correct them. This mistake meant that our stairs are now off center and awkward. The deck was left without composite siding and the railing was made with the cheapest splitting wood imaginable. I have debated making this post but after reviewing these pictures time and time again, I felt it only right to place an honest review to help others like us avoid this. After investigating, Bob has an F rating with the BBB and is substantially in debt. When we made it known how unhappy we were with his dishonestly and the job his first thing to do was to threaten to “send someone out to come rip it up”. After we negotiated to come down on the price and finish up the last bit of the job and move on with our lives. Turns out we should have just cut our loses because we could have built this deck better ourselves. Pieces were left without being nailed down and you can wiggle the side railing because it so poorly fashioned. I will attach pictures as proof of the job. Beware of this company and the owner."
