Although at the beginning of my schooling was very difficult and complicated, I’m very pleased with what the school provides for me with what I need to learn to become an audio engineer and Getting the opportunity to practice using the editing software that is used in the recording business. I will have to say that Joel Arevalo was a big help and I felt very well connected to him as I struggled in the middle of my schooling. He was able to give me good advice and help me move forward and not give up. I really appreciated his support. The only problem I had with the school was waiting to hear back from the recording connections staff. Both my mother and I would send multiple emails and make multiple calls to contact the school but it would take at least 3-5 days to get a response which was not very satisfying as a student. The other issue I had was when I first started with the school. I originally started talking to a member named Tommy Lee who only offered me 1 studio to look at an...

First off, I must say, that this was an amazing program! I was actually working in a studio with real bands next to my mentor, Sean Cole. He went above and beyond to prepare me for the music business. He showed me mic placement, acoustic treatment, recording, mixing, even how to act professional with clients. The course itself was very interesting and fun. It was easy to learn the basic building blocks needed to pursue a career in music. When I had a question about the program I just called my student advisor, Lucas Abend, who was a tremendous help with whatever I needed. He was informative and friendly and most of all encouraging! I strongly recommend this audio engineering course to anyone who has a heart for a career in audio, it works!!

I applied to both Full Sail and Recording Connection at the same time and got accepted into both! I am so happy that I ended up going with Recording Connection because they have studios all around the country that allows you to get a hands on experience from the comforts of your state.

Whoever this mentor Joey is my granddaughter was quite pleased with him. The recording studio itself is no more than a rip off. My granddaughter went to see Joey maybe once or twice a week for less then an hour most of the time. that's all she did. She wasn't there a good month before they wanted me to sign another contract in the amount of $7700. I had just paid the $8800 cash. I spoke to someone because her time seemed to be coming to an end after about 5 months. I was told they would be working with her for the next year or so. After 5 months they sent a certificate through the mail and she hasn't heard a word from them since. Clearly the promises they make are nothing but lies in order to get your money and don't be sucked into paying them more money for the Masters program. Their promises are empty. This is nothing but a rip off. They try to suck you in on the masters program. They only want your money. don't do it.

I originally started talking to a member named Tommy Lee who only offered me 1 studio to look at and did not give me the chance to look at other studio options to see a difference on what to expect what’s best for me as a student. Overall, the program is great when you choose a great mentor who knows the material you are learning and have staff members who help you have the right mindset to reach your goal. Quicker response to the students and given the choice to look at Multiple studios before choosing a mentor are the only problems that should be fixed that I believe will help other students in the future when choosing Recording Connections as their school of choice."
