"Playa provisions is my favorite restaurant in the area, hands down! Top tier service and amazing food. If you go and don’t get oysters with their legendary hot sauce (and a bottle to go), you’ve made a mistake! The garlic and pepper calamari is some of the best out there (I just wish there were more rings), the fish and chips is perfection (those fries are insane). My mom can’t stop talking about how delicious the salt cod clam chowder is! And you can’t go wrong with any desserts on the menu or drinks by Liam! The only negative thing I have to say was, I would like to give the sourdough bread a negative one star. It was just so so so dry and had zero flavor (you could have told me it was French or the person making it thought it is brioche and I would believe them—it was so bad). The butter was good but nothing could have saved that bread. And some of your patrons abuse the comfort of the patio, backing up wait times for other reservations, there should be a time limit. It isn’t fair to anyone involved (esp servers dealing with hungry people with zero control of their emotions)"
". for 2 Tacos? It used to be 3, but I think we're getting ahead of ourselves here. Yes the surroundings are fairly well to do homeowners. But let's not milk our locals maybe? Because there are not enough tourists that will be able to support this place so the prices should remain fairly humble as they used to be. Also parking is now valet only and that has gone up in price too. One wonders what the strategy is here. And $5. for one scoop of ice cream instead of 2.? Really? Every pastry every little bit of anything you buy there is overpriced to be honest. But grab yourself a coffee for the beach, it's quite good. Also those tacos I mentioned? Yes they were good."
"This review is based on the weekend brunch at Dockside: the menu is attractive, innovative, and fresh seafood forward. I love it (more so than the dinner menu)! The hollandaise on the crab benedict I went with was amazing -- it made the dish. Portions are a little small (this is not necessarily a complaint because prices are pretty reasonable) so you might need a couple courses if you're really hungry. Service was fast and excellent. No guest appearance from Brooke Williamson, but either way, Playa Provisions is a top-notch spot that's worthy of visiting, even if it's just for a quick drink/bite from the cafe."
"All their food is fantastic, but I'll tell you this. Their bakery is actually easy better if you can believe that. The drinks, the food are top notch no doubt. And I love their fish tacos so much. But I'll tell you this, get there early in the morning when they open or else all the pastries will be gone. It's all on another level."
"Cute restaurant with an ice cream counter and a whiskey bar in the back. Came here on a Friday around 6: and got bar seating. For tables, I’d strongly recommend making a reservation (you can do so online). There is an outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. $3 cash only for valet parking (it’s pretty hard to find street parking in the area). The cocktails are well-made and the bartenders are super friendly. They have a little aquarium as well so you can check out the fish while you wait. The calamari is really fresh and the pretzel bread with cheese sauce is filling - both are good options to share between two people."
