Service and ambiance was amazing. I’m guessing we’re just not fancy enough to appreciate the food. For example, the entree of scallops was only 3 scallops. Also the menu said it came with Mexican street corn, which was instead about 15 pieces of popcorn. In case you’re wondering, no popcorn doesn’t seem to pair well with scallops. Shrimp and lobster scampi seemed to be seafood fettuccine Alfredo.

We were excited for our night out for dinner at the Palace Arms but we ended up with a very disappointing night. The food was a complete disappointment, the drinks were extremely over priced and the service was ok due to the fact that they were understaffed. The food was bland and boring, no flavor and thrown together. The ribeye was overcooked and tasteless, the shrimp scampi was swimming in butter and oil and tasteless. I am very disappointed that we spent $250.00 dollars for junk that I could have easily made at home. Please think twice before you dine at this restaurant.

Came here on our honeymoon, everything exceeded expeditions. Michael, our server, was very kind and gave us great recommendations to try. Highly recommend the burrata starter, and we will not forget the center cut ribeye with bone marrow butter. Savored every bite! I hope we can come back for every anniversary!

Simply put, the cocktails are great but the food is pretty bad. I very much enjoyed their mai tai (yes, a mainland mai tai!) and the Manhattan. The chive puffs and duck ravioli appetizers were not something I'd get again. The brisket dumplings were dry and unpalatable. The setting is really breathtaking in a historic downtown hotel and that's great! My friends got some other dishes that looked better, so maybe have a few of the great cocktails and try something else on the menu 🤞🏻

Went for my birthday in '21. I have stayed at the hotel in the past and had many meals at the Ship's Taveren - all excellent. On November 18 last year, made reservations for my Bday at the Palace Arms. The management was beyond horrid. Some upset customer pulled a manager and an assistant to their table and spent lots of time trying to repair that bad experience, and instead ignored us to the point of the outrageous ruining our experience as well. The service was very slow, the food came out cold (for me anyway). I used to enjoy High Tea and the Ship Tavern, but this experience at the Palace Arms made this a one and DONE. Sad to see such a great place hit the skids for me and my family, especially at north of $100 per person in the party. Service - 1. Atmosphere - 2. Decor - 5. Food Quality - 1. Value - 1.
